This is a real random thread. No-one knows anything about a sequel, let alone which characters would be in it. Having that knowledge wouldn't stop me from buying any DLC, anyway.

Besides, it's way too early to even consider MK10. The good news is that it likely won't be released next year.

Also, if NRS follows Capcom's previous example with expansions, and if UMK9 gets made, it probably wouldn't include the DLC (it should be compatible, though). A Game of the Year Edition would likely include the DLC.

Does anyone relize that if there are more DLC, we will want them right? But then a new MK will come along, with those kombatants, and the money we spent will kinda be wasted, i bought Skarlet, but I think i'll wait for a new game, so i don't waste extra money

No.

There is no guarantee of a direct sequel to MK9 anytime soon, for one.

And two, there is a lot more to a game than just characters.

I'm sure the OP meant REALize, and I expected some sort of epiphany.

I'm not even going to bother buying MK10 because.... you do know how many people died in MK9 right? I'll be damned if there's no Noob, SUB ZERO(one of the most famous kombatants, a CLASSIC for god's sake. Why did NRS kill him off -_-), Kung Lao, Jade, Kitana, Nightwolf, Sindel, LIU KANG(What the f- really? Killing Liu Kang? Not really a fan but he's also CLASSIC), Jax, Kabal, Stryker, SMOKE(All I can say is WTF), yet they let Sheeva live.

I mean, at least Scorpion and Baraka are still there but MK9 took away nearly half the cast (excluding DLC).

And who the hell is Hornebuckle? Sounds stupid.

They got killed off in Armageddon also, and they came back again. Saying you won't buy MK10 based on your very broad assumption is extremely ignorant.

Some of the iconic character will probably return, maybe not in the story but surely as playable characters. Also at the same time it would make no sense bringing back the entire roster of MK9 which would turn out to be nothing but MK9 ver 2.0.

What people got to realise is that MK unlike other fighters have followed a tradition of story telling right from the first game in killing of certain characters and bringing in new ones (excluding MKA). I hope they maintain this in the future as well and bring out their creativity in developing less liked characters like Kai, Shujinko, Fujin, Shinnok etc and make them iconic, on par with the orginal characters.
