DLC Prices

Meh ... I'm not getting any DLC until they fix the online :/

And even then, I'll probably wait for a bundle or something of DLCs like I did with Street Fighter 4 costumes.

Hell, if there's an Ultimate MK9, I won't buy any DLC and wait for that.

Reason? I don't play MK much since the online is bad, and I finished everything else. No more replay value until the online is fixed so I'm keeping my "interest" in this game alive by not downloading any DLC for now. Strange reasoning on my part, I know; but hey!! that's me :p

On a side note (more like main but anyways): Yah I think $5 for a single character is not reasonable. I'd say, $3 per character, $0.5 per costume, and create bundles every once in a while. I find it ridiculousness to ask my to pay $5 for classic costumes, when I already own half of them. They should've been released individually, so people like me can buy the ones they don't already have. As for characters, all you get is a character (no alt costume), 2 fatalities, and a bablity animation. Nothing new there. No new stage. No new -ality. Only two classic costumes (Cyrax and Sector with Skarlet) to encourage people to download the compatibility pack. Not a real deal sweetener if you ask me. Plus they didn't put a real effort into the classic skins. Reptile with human teeth when damaged? Cyrax with white skin? So, yah. Nothing new worth $5. And it's like Kokoro said: "It adds up" ;)

$20 really isn't that bad. people will end up buying an entirely new game($60) for getting all 3 call of duty map packs. i'm broke but i can still afford $20.

I think the price is very reasonable. Would I like lower prices of course who would not. It is a supply and demand thing. I will happily fork over my money for things that I want for a game I care about within reason. The $5 per character is very reasonable to me.

The only thing I do not like is the optional download of the compatibility pack. Those should be mandatory so I can play my $5 character whenever I choose offline or online.

I think 5 dlls is really good. They're giving us a new character, new moves, new fatalities, new ending, 2 klassic costumes, and all the editing they need to do with the current characters to make the new ones fit in for just 5 dlls. I think that is even cheap

huh so on xbox they have a season pass pack for 1,200
whats that?
I thought you get everything as far as the characters after buying it

You get the 4 characters that are coming out this summer. Skarlett, Rain, Kenshi, and the mysterious 4th character. 1200 points = $15

The Season Pass is a pre-payment of the four characters to be released this summer at a reduced price. When they come out, you'll have the option to download them in-game for free (since you already paid for them). You don't get the characters instantly; you just pay for them in advance (for 25% off).

5 dollars? dude a combo meal at any fast food place costs more than that. and it only lasts till i'm done with my meal. I downloaded skarlet and am still enjoying playing with her and the new costumes ( and will enjoy kenshi as well).

seriously we spend are money on much stupider stuff. Movies cost upwards of 10 to 15 dollars just to see them once in the theater.

this is an optional add on that no one is forced to buy (not to mention you get the costumes for free) so my vote is yes the 5 dollars is totally worth it.

Has anyone noticed the in-game ad(s?) in this game?

In the Rooftop daytime level, there is an ad on the billboard to the left for an upcoming movie, The Warrior's Way http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1032751/

If they are putting ads in the game, should DLC be free?

I saw a few posters in the Subway, advertising the new Transformers movie.
I don't think NRS/WB would see the ads as a reason not to charge for DLC. They're just two separate revenue streams.

$5 is something that comes and goes so fast, its almost stupid to argue the price.

Xbox is great for the season pass, i am more than happy to spend $15 right now and get my characters when they come out.

I paid $5 for each character on marvel vs capcom i expected as much here. No one is forcing you to buy anything, if you think its to much money cause you already spent $60 on a game, then dont buy it. NRS is already giving fans the benefit by bringing back favorites and added some spice with Skarlet(whos ****ing awesome fun). There is no reason for anything free, if they decide to hand out something like a character, i would expect it after a little while of being out.

You guys go ahead and complain, im gunna enjoy my characters :)

Like I said before, $5 for one character is a lot because of how it adds up. 4 characters is $20 and that's a quarter of the full price for the game. Also, $5 is almost enough to buy a full game on PSN, so why charge that much for only one character in a game?

#1 - No one if forcing you to buy all the characters. You can choose to get one instead of all four.
#2 - $5 for each character is cheap and reasonable, most other fighters charge around that price - or higher.
#3 - $20 is a third of the full price, not a fourth.
#4 - Download Content is optional.

If no DLC was coming out you'd hear people complain, then when a lot of DLC is being put out - more haters arise to find something to mope about. This isn't a new concept, either you get the content or not.
