Damn, it feels good to be a gamer.

Beating Resident Evil (original PS1) without a memory card <3

I LOVE YOU, CHRIS

<.<

Ugh that reminds me of when I first got Shaolin Monks.
I didn't have a memory card.
Me and my sister got all the way to Reptile before she passed out from lack of sleep.

At that time, we were only renting the PS1 from the game store and they didn't have memory cards so we played FOREVER. At one point, I got to Yawn and it was the furthest we had gotten, and I died because I didn't know you didn't have to fight Yawn, haha. It was 4am and we almost cried.

No memory card sucks.

Beating the final island in World Tour mode of Street Fighter Alpha 3 is probably up there. That's where you face two X-ism M. Bisons with full health and infinite super meters. His Psycho Crusher super would take like 75% of my health, and they'd often both do them simultaneously or back-to-back. I tried on and off for months until I finally beat it. Many expletives and controllers flew.

I also finally beat Revenge of Shinobi and got the good ending a while back, so I guess I'll toss that in too.

Finishing Halo 1-3 and Reach on Legendary, (I also got 100% achievements in Reach)
100% completion on Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare's single player,
Beating MK1 when I was 2-3ish years old,
Finishing Gears 1 & 2 on Insanity with a friend of mine, (We had a blast)
Beating TMNT IV: Turtles in Time with my mom when I was like 4 years old,
And finally, being true to my character to the point where I lost our D&D group's wagon and most of our loot because my character would have done what caused that to happen.

That is all I can think of for now...

As for knowledge goes, I would consider myself a "Lore Master" when it comes to Elder Scrolls. And generally if my friends ever have any video game related questions they ask me first ^_^

Finally TKOing Mike Tyson in Mike Tyson's Punch-Out after so many years of trying. Though it is fun fighting Mr. Sandman, and Super Macho Man.
Playing through japenese copy of Chrono Trigger on PS1, after playing the SNES one so many times. Knew what to do, without translating, yay.
Beating Zelda 1 and Zelda 2, so long ago. Definitely was one way back than.
Running through Twisted Metal 1 and 2 so many times, mainly Roadkill, his car was badass. Always had fun fighting Minion at the end.
Playing through Resident Evil 1 and 2, those damn dogs from the first one jumping through the window :p
Beating every Mega Man except for 8, sadly. Mega Man 9 was a bit of a challenge at first, than learning what to do and not to do made it fun.

Though will agree, Resident Evil without a memory card, now thats something. Wow.

Oi, being an addict, I have quite a few. Here are those that I can remember...

Extensive knowledge of MK lore.
Extensive knowledge of GTA lore.
Getting a Silent Assassin rating on every mission in Hitman 2.
Beating Kane & Lynch 2 on Hard.
Beating arcade on Very Hard in MK vs DC.
Beating Survivor difficulty on BioShock.
Getting every trophy on BioShock.
Beating GTA3, Vice City, and San Andreas without the use of cheats.

That's all I can recall in recent memory.

Its kinda sad but not really lol Ill only name a few because there are too many to list:

1. Extensive knowledge on the RE universe- getting RE2 and RE3 the day of their releases and it took me 2 years to finally beat them because I was scared of that game! Beating REmake on invisible enemy mode! Platinuming RE5. Finishing various RE comic books I drew for a few fan sites.

2. Extensive Knowledge on the MK universe- Beating MK2 without using cheap tactics like someone else stated. Unlocking everthing in the ps2 games

3. Extensive Knowledge on the Legacy of Kain universe.

4. Beating Silent Hill 2 without a doubt its in the top 5 scariest games out there I think.

5. Castlevania is the newest game I plan on having extensive knowledge in...I really only played the old school ones here and there. Lords of Shadow is a masterpiece in my eyes though :)

6. This ones my pride to announce :) Super super Extensive knowledge in the Metal Gear Solid Universe!

I have a few more:

Finally beating Turok 2,3 and Evolution with no cheats.

Dominating with Sheeva online.

Beating Jaws Unleashed's Giant Squid boss. (So ****ing hard!)

Beating the final level of Battalion Wars, the first strategy game I've ever played.

Beating my brother in MK4 for the first time, all that jackass would do is spam Quan Chi's skulls.

This is a very good thread, I must say. Gonna have to think about this to answer. I replied because I wanted to suggest that you also have a gaming "lows" option, too. Cause I have some doozy heartbreaks. : )

Off the top of my head:
Recent ones would include beatng Left 4 Dead's 5 campaigns on expert, getting the Bridge Over Trebled Water achievement (this was vindication as the game no-sold me on it several times before), and fighting Jade on MK---which seems to be difficult for alot of people including those that would prolly destroy me on the game. Not the best of the best, just recent triumphs I guess.

Good idea.

I was fighting Devil Hulk in Incredible Hulk: Ultimate destruction.
He was kicking my ass all of that day, I was finally winning when my grandmother came in and accidentally turned off the power by hitting the wrong light switch :?

If we're gonna throw that in this thread, then I definitely have alot off the top of my head!

-Had a perfect game in the bottom of the 9th with 2 outs on MVP Baseball 2005 and the game froze.

-Left 4 Dead 1, there is an achievement called The Untouchables...after contacting the rescuse vehicle, noone takes any damage. Even harder because im not an online type of player, so I was using the 3 bot teammates. Finally I saw that none of us appeared to take any damage so I threw my hands up in celebration as we took off in the rescue vehicle. The achievement didnt pop on the stats screen so I slowly dropped my arms. I look to see who took the damage and I saw Zoey-0, Bill-0, and Francis-0. My heart sunk as it meant I took the damage. Guess what?! I DIDNT. Slica-0. I threw my hands back up in the air in triumph. And slowly descended into depression as I watched the credits go by without the achievement unlocking. I still have not getting this achievement to this day. Total BS.

-In my more anger-issue game days, I was playing VR Baseball 99. Bottom 9th with two outs and I gave up a walkoff homer to Andres Galaragga on a pitch I purposely through way outside. I reacted by punching my PS, breaking it and the disc. Ah to be young again.

-WWE Smackdown Vs Raw. I create the same guys for each wrestling game as I dont have any ideas anymore. I had about 15 created wrestlers that were 100% complete and had very well done and timely entrances. I take the hard drive elsewhere and it wouldnt load on my friend's xbox360. When I got back to my place, it wouldnt load anything. It says my save file is corrupt. I have lost all my progress and all of the hard work I put into the created characters. Havent played the game since.

-Had my long undefeated record with Fox on SSBM snapped against a level 9 Ganondorf. It was in tournament mode, so it didnt count on the stats screen, but I count it. I was so dominant. Still unbeaten on SSBB with him at about 200-0.

-A friend brought over the then new UFC Undisputed game (the first one). We had our first match, and I destroyed him for 3 rounds. Absolute beatdown. He takes me down with about 8 seconds left in the fight, and knocks me out with an elbow with TWO seconds left on the clock. I lost all respect for that game. I was playing as a knockout artist and drilled him with a million flush shots. He hits me once at the end and wins. It does happen in MMA, but damn if that wasnt irritating.

------------------
Just thought of another gaming 'high'. I got every star possible on both Mario Galaxies. The game is easy to beat, but getting the stars is quite difficult. Im a completionist, so I try to 100% as much as I can (sans achievements), so getting everything is nothing new. But again, that game can be cruel in some spots.

i also finished super mario world, and found ALL of the secret stages.
finished super mario bros 3 WITHOUT the magic flute.
finished super mario bros 2
finished pokemon ruby and pokemon fire red
won 2nd place in israel's counter strike source championship 2 years ago
finished gears of war 2 on the hardest difficulty (i guess that's an achivement right? that was hard...)

I also got all of the stars from Galaxy 1 & 2.

I think my biggest gaming fail was when I was about 10 or so.

I had Yoshi's island on GBA, I was having a ***** of a time on one of the levels.
After hours and hours of pure fail, I got so pissed I smashed the GBA on my face.
Breaking the screen and my nose.

I had no idea how to explain it my grandmother

Wow and I thought I was an angry kid! : P

That reminds me...Beating Super Mario World including the secret star stages was an achievement. Looking at the maps online, I dunno how I did it when I was younger. Me and a friend kept taking turns and I remember we got through it. Outrageous was brutal.

Finished L.A Noire With No Questions Wrong (2nd playthrough)
Completed Halo 3 Legendary By Myself
Completed Force Unleashed 2 (Unleashed Difficulty)
L4D2 Suvived All Campaigns On Expert
Completed Elder Scrolls Arena,Daggerfall,Morrowind,Redguard And Oblivion.
And Thats What I Can Think Of.
