black 360 vs white 360

hello,

had some questions but let me start off with NO FLAME WARS lol you have been warned lol

ok I got the white 360 like a few years back and have been debating trading it in getting the new black model

thing is i don't know all the differences. i heard the black one has built in wifi(?)

my man reason for considering the trade is the noise. the white model runs SO loud compared to my ps3, and I heard (looking for confirmation) that the black models run quieter?

so looking for any success/fail stories, tips, advice. I own like 30 360 games so no not just gonna sell them off and get them all in ps3 version lol thanks!!!
 
it is quieter but it's still not silent. ^^ (installing the game helps reduce sound significantly though) i hear the ventilation is also much better on the slim.
 
Which black model are you talking about?

The Xbox 360S (new model) had built-in Wifi and more storage I think. I would assume the fans will be quieter too. I don't think there's any new features over the old one.

I have an old white model, and I hate it. It's so loud.
The black slim model is so much better, built in wifi, more space and it's a crap ton quieter.
 
my apologies i meant the slim, i forgot about the elite model that was out.

Slim 360 is excellent. If it's beginning to overheat a warning message pops up to let you know and, if it continues to overheat it'll shut down own it's own to avoid RROD. It's perfect. Though you can always install games or, buy games via xboxlive if you don't want the loud humming from the white xbox.

How did you make it overheat?? Once i played 10 hours straight, and let the xbox be on in the game for the whole night..
 
another question:

dlc, can that be redownloaded? I am nervous because i got DLC for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2, it was the character pack that they took down and cannot be rebought. any idea how I could get that on a new harddrive?

Well the DLC is all tied to your XBL profile so even though you aren't using the same vacuum cleaner you can re download it to your new quieter vacuum cleaner
