anybody else love this anime? i used to read this manga all the time as a kid it has a really good story, very violent, anyone know how to get japanese versions

I love this anime. My beef with it was that it was too short. The movies were okay, but the concept is cool. Never read/touched the manga -- though I'd be interested in it if I came across it.
