Bethesda Press Conference in July

I would be pissed too if they don't announce an Elder Scrolls VI. Hopefully they don't casualify it like they did with Skyrim.

I hope that Arkane Studios announces a Dishonored sequel at this conference.
I've been waiting for 2 years for a sequel to that spectacular game, and it's just about the only game that I still play on PS3.
If they announced a Dishonored sequel on PS4, X1 and PC or a next-gen port, my PS3 will be up on eBay that same day.

I'm finding it hard to like Bethesda as of late. I gave up on Skyrim because the game was constantly crashing. Bethesda's legal battle with Interplay over the Fallout IP, caused the classic titles to be pulled from GOG and never reinstated ever since....Thanks Bethesda. ...

Its too early for that. You won't see TES VI for another five or six years. They're just now announcing F4? I must agree, Skyrim was pretty casual.
BBBLP, that's the truth.
Commander, I would also love to see any kind of Dishonored news.

Yeah, you're right considering Oblivion was released in 2006. I still play Oblivion to this very day, it's way more fun and the overall atmosphere is just breathtaking. Plus the side quests are A LOT better.

The gaps between the elder Scrolls games has been 5-6 years. It's coming up on 4 years in November since Skyrim so I'd say another 2 years for the next one. I'm 99% sure they'll announce Fallout 4. Those are the only 2 franchises big enough by them to be worthy of their own press conference. Even if Dishonored was a good game, it didn't do that well in sales.

I thought the dialogue options of Oblivion were better than Skyrim. Character growth in Oblivion was terrible though, making it hard to play the game naturally if want to make a powerful character.

Oh HECK yes! I loved the heck out of Oblivion! Skyrim felt too simplified and everything was too short. Especially the guild quests. In Oblivion, you actually had to work for your rank.

Skyrim was my first Elder Scrolls game and I thought it was pretty good. I can't stand to replay it though. Combat feels terrible until you're able to one shot everything with an axe.

I thought melee Skyrim felt better than Oblivion but that's not saying much. I prefer archery more. I didn't mess around with magic much, but I heard some schools didn't scale very well. Overall, combat is not the series' strongest suit but I wouldn't want that aspect omitted either.

I think Skyrim's leveling up system works out better that Fallout's for the most part, but some of the time it's dreadful. I don't think I've ever grinded in Fallout, but I've spent hours Smithing and Enchanting god damned daggers just so I could create top level shit.

Yeah I agree with this. Fallout had a more fun leveling system. I've played morrowind, oblivion and skyrim and just fallout 3. I love both of these franchises but my main gripe with skyrim was that no matter what you did, the world around you didn't change. You could save a town from a dragon and they clap for 10 seconds, then it's as if nothing happened. With fallout, you had more important choice options that changed things. Hell you had the choice to set off a nuke in a town and it'll be gone for good after. It's stuff like that, that Elder Scrolls needs.

You should really try out New Vegas. The gameplay is so much better, so is the dlc. Lot of variety in the weapons too. Gun Runners Arsenal pack adds a lot of post game content since everything is so expensive but usually worth it.

Anti-Material Rifle + Exploding Ammo *drools*

Skyrim's leveling system sounds great in theory, but in practice required more grinding than what was intended. When I played as a melee character, I found the weapon skill greatly outpacing armor because I didn't want to stand there and take more hits than necessary. Oblivion was even worse because it forced players to grind for minor skills if they want to get the +5 stat gains on level up.

In Fallout 3/New Vegas, you get lots of opportunities to gain experience and level up. Although you have plan ahead if you want to maximize your character, at least you are not stuck with doing odd tasks just to gain points for a specific skill.
