Anyone have a "Go To" character yet?

I know the game is still fresh, but I was curious if anyone else had a go to fighter that they either had the most fun with, or used the most online. I'm going with Smoke. His combos are a great blend of offense and defense, and his smoke cloud can lead into some solid juggles. Great character design. Anyone else?
 
I am rockin with Kitana I just liked the way she felt in story mode and tryed her out in the arcade ladder on med and it was a breeze so I did it on hard mode and finished that too, working on expert but Goro is a road block and makes me rage quit. I am getting some nice moves down with Kitana and the blades are viscous.

keep in mind im still playing medium on story mode, stuck on quan chi and shang tsung....

thinking about smoke myself as a 2nd go to guy.
 
I think it's absolutely awesome how the story mode introduces you to characters. I never liked smoke in any of the other games, but as soon as I used him in the story mode, I was hooked.

What's funny is, I always struggle against Kitana, no matter what mode I'm in, lol
 
Ermac and Stryker. It used to be Noob Saibot, but I've been nailing Ermac's special moves and combos really well, and Stryker is a good character when you know how to time his moves.
 
Shang Tsung, I can pull off some wicked combo's. And if you notice his Back+1,2,1,4 combo looks similar to his 1,1,3,Back+2 combo in MK3 or maybe I'm just seeing sh!!.
 
Depends what you mean.
I have favorite characters, and then I have a character that I just find myself rocking as.
... my favorites are usually Scorpion/Sub Zero/Ermac (yes I know, a cliche choice, but its more for their storylines then anything as well throughout the series)

... but in this game?

After having played through as Scorpion (in a tag team of Scorp/Sub Zero in tag ladder with my cousin), Sub Zero, Ermac, and then Kitana?

.... I'm finding myself really badass playing as Kitana. I didn't lose a single round until I fought Kahn, and even then, that was because I made a couple errors, before flawless victoring his ass.
 
Learning Noob Saibot's moves and combos... he's just sick attacking machine, teleport move is awesome, hoping to learn some juggles?custom combos. And his bio - essense of evil, but not a slave to Quan Chi, with his own efforts.

Ermac seemed difficult to me...well, like Smoke, CSZ, and Kabal, but that's by the time I have a solid mixup in my head after Challenge Tower and Story Mode... while playing for nearly all the roster.

As said before, some kombatants are easier, some more difficult to master, but they all have great potential. This MK rocks!
 
Ermac all day every day. Really like how much damage he can manage up close when I get tired of his zoning game. Looking into Shang Tsung as a tag partner, at least until Kenshi is out, but I haven't gotten the chance to use him much.
 
I really love styker. Its pretty random because I was never too fond of him. However, Strykers "bang bang" gun move is pretty sick. You can pull out the gun and decide when to fire. Perfect for messing with the other playing. And he has simple yet pretty effective chain combos/ and pop up combo. His pop up is (back+X,Y,Y) for xbox and than you can follow it up with a dash uppercut, a roundhouse kick or even his gun move. Thats strykers bread & butter right there.
