Gamestop being able print out valid and WORKING redemption codes for Scorpions original fatality/costume at pickup?

The reason I ask this is because I first of all never received a code from Gamestop for pre-ordering the game. When I brought this to their attention, they re-printed the receipt for me with a code that has never worked within the widget.

Has anyone gotten their pre-order code to work? If so, is your code still working?
 
I've had the exact same issue, and no luck. and even after paying off my TE completely with the new reciept... still nothing. I have the same fears as you my friend

I have had them reprint a few receipts in the past, it is a pain but the codes have always worked.

Eclipso, how many digits is your code? I have I think maybe 4 or 5 numbers, then a space and then XX/XXX....Is this how yours is? Are you entering the entire sequence?
 
Same thing happened to me, but the separate code they printed out did work on their widget. I paid for mine up front, so I thought I'd get the actual Classic Scorpion unlock code, too, but I didn't. I hope they give me the code when I actually pick the game up.
 
I had a similar problem with the imfamous Game Stop code.....however, when I first used mine it worked fine for a day or two, then it suddenly stopped working. Recently I paid off my pre-order and received another code....works fine thus far. Sorry to hear you guys are having problems with the codes, that blows. :(
 
Why would you get the code a month before release? Every time I preorder something that has a code from GS it is given to me when I actually pick up the game.
 
I would suggest going there atleast a week in advance as SubZero Wraith pointed out. It would suck to go in on release day and be told "All out of codes sorry bud" Then you'd have to go all Mortal Kombat on him.

My code is both letter and numbers. Something like XX#X#XXX and it works. You may be trying the wrong code or something.

The code is a pre-order code to view the uncensored fatalities within the Gamestop widget. When you pick up the game, the code for the fatality/costume is printed on the receipt.

For the costume? They're only giving out codes for the widgets at this point. As someone pointed out earlier, you'll receive the code for the Scorpion costume and fatality when you pick up the game on April 19th.
 
No worries dudes and ladies........ THey should have it up and running that night. If not they will have a huge amount of angry customers to deal with. I do not think they want that.
 
I am starting to get worried as well...they didn't mention anything about the code for the widget, but I hope it will be cleared up once I actually get my hands on the game
 
i had a friend pre order it for me because i live in a small town. Would my friend gotten a piece of paper with a code on it when he pre ordered it for me? I never even thought to ask him. They said just use your name when you go down there and buy the game on April 19th. But i guess my question is when i go buy it will they have a code when you buy the game there or was it on a slip of paper when my friend pre ordered it a long time ago?

Actually, it will be on the receipt. Directly from Gamestop's website: "A code with instructions on how to redeem the Klassic Scorpion Playable Character and the Scorpion Fatality will be printed on your receipt at time of game pick up."
