Anti Cross-ups

I was wondering if anyone had any kind of universal (meaning I can do it with cage, jax, whoever) way to get out of a cross up game? For those who don't know what cross ups are, its when your opponent gets you in a constant beating by jumping over you when your down and repeating the same mix up. Its highly annoying and its the only thing I really lose too (minus projectile spammers...****ers...).

As Cage, I attempt to do a wake up but it usually misses and then they can end up jumping over me again before I can start doing other moves.

Meh I suck at describing it but I'm sure someone on here will give me a hand.

with cage you can do this <-3 kick instead of a flip kick usually catches them overhead

fuzzy blocking could probably help as well

I don't think there's a universal move that every one has for that (uppercuts are too slow I believe). I know there are characters that have moves for it. I play Sub-Zero, Kano, and Noob, so theirs would be: SZ's 2,2,2 chain, Kano's Upball, Noob's Shadow Upknee. I'm sure everyone has an answer to that, you just have to find it.

In some cases, an uppercut works well (it depends on the character and timing) - it's not the most reliable, but it can be used as x-up defense.

Some characters have a sick wake-up. Noob's up-knee is a worthy mention - the hit box is unbelievably good.

Other than that, I can only recommend a very well timed dash. Tricky to do online, but in theory it should work.

I'm not talking when someone is jumping at me. It is when they jump OVER me.

I know what you were trying to say. What I said still applies. Unless you were talking to the other guy, then NVM this.

well at least i know what a crossup is now. so many terms i do not understand /sigh, perhaps i should get super street fighter as well, i find i really enjoy fighting games, i just rarely play them because none of my friends can stand up to me.

If people are cross over jumping you then you need to work on you distancing/footsies.

But no one is perfect so when you are getting crossed there are a few things you can do.

1. Jump away :P
2. Use a breaker
3. Poke with D1 or D3 to get them of you
4. Ask for a rematch and pick Kung Lao :D

If they are crossing up with punches you can simply duck and not block, the attack will wiff. If you block, it will act as an overhead and hit you however.
