I wasn't that impressed by him tbh. If they had included some of his iconic actions from the films, such as extending arms or a fatality where he uses your veins like puppet strings, along with a decent facial likeness and 1 glove then I might have got him. He just seems a bit dull though, with very average moves and fatalities.

I'll get the compatibility pack though, as I see no reason to spoil other people's games when they have paid money to use him.

Everybody whos ragging on Freddy and says they are getting the compatibility pack just so they can beat up Freddy with their favorite characters (most likely smoke or ermac or some other overpowered pussy) I can't wait to throw all your asses in the boiler room and then type "Welcome to my Nightmare, *****!" all over the chat room

You're right , I think there shouldnt had been a kratos to begin with, the MK essence is lost in my opinion once you bring other guests into the mk world. mk vs dc was enough experimenting.

I don't mind Freddy in this at all, and I'll most likely buy him. But I don't want them to get too carried away with even more guest characters before they put in people like cyber smoke, tanya, and fujin.

You know the worst part about this? This seriously increases Jason's chances of being in the next DLC pack. I mean, both Freddy and Jason were rumored to be DLC, and part of that rumor has already come true. This likely won't be the last of the guest characters that we'll be seeing as DLC. :evil:


You think you hate the idea of Freddy Krueger being DLC? Wait until Jason is confirmed...

It's actually pretty damn selfish of the "fans" to demand stuff from a company they support. If you boycott them, you aren't supporting them anymore. If you don't support them, you aren't a fan.

i'm not boycotting them. i'm boycotting freddy. thankfully they gave me a choice of whether i can have him in my game or not. i NEVER have to see him.

If u play koth u should download the comp pack..cuz ur stopping every1 in the room from using him..an it's pretty childish to say u don't even wanna look at sum1 play with him...if u don't wanna fight him(equally as childish to me) that's fine if sum1 picks him u can leave an find another match..

Very disappointing to hear.

I'd think a person with your intelligence would have a better state of mind about this.


Nobody is asking you to buy him, just let the people who did, play as him :(

Guys, stop hating on Krueger. Think, for one minute. Krueger has not been featured in a good game, that showcased how awesome he is. Kratos has been in several great games. Why isn't Krueger entitled to be featured in a great fighting game? He'd fit in way more that Kratos ever would, and I'm downloading him on August 9th, and I'm going to main him. And if your not going to download Freddy, then at least have the decently to download the compatibility packs, so that the people who want to play as Freddy, can play as him.

The thing that i fear most is that after this MK goes down the MKvsDC to crappiness again... to be honest, the last MK game i enjoyed before this new one was MK4, never got the feel of the newer ones. Returned to MK with this game though. I really hope this stays an exception and we get some meaningful expansion of the MK universe in the future.
