It made since for Sub-Zero since he belongs to the Lin Kuei.


The Lin Kuei has no interest in Scorpion.

Not to mention he's a ****ing ghost.

If I had the choice between picking some hack of a character like Jarek and Robo-Scorpion, I'd definitely pick Jarek. If I ever hear a roboticized "Get over here!" or "I will have my revenge!", I might just jump ship, canon or non-canon. Luckily though, that has a snowball's chance in hell of ever happening.

I hope they reveal the character on 21st, not the 24th. doubtful but it doesn't hurt to wish right?

I thought the same of Sub-Zero, but ..........


NRS can f*** up any iconic character that they want, and Sub-Zero is proof of that.

Robo-Subster is an evolution of the character.

He got boring after MK4.

NRS was just trying to liven him up.


If it wasn't for those goddam leaks, my jaw would have ****ing dropped when I saw him in story mode.

If anyone doesn't know, this is Paxton Fettel, from the WB-published F.E.A.R. franchise. Like a lot of suggestions, this guy would fit into the silhouette we've been shown.

Thursday can't come quick enough, so I can forget this stupid idea...

i like where they went with the storyline and how sub-zero is cyber

but if they do make an MK10, i really hope they leave a human sub-zero as well with all his human-moves (for everything but mk10 storymode)

They sort of destroyed a lot of what made Smoke unique, too, by making Subby the 3rd cyborg instead of Smoke (and reducing Cyber Smoke into a skin, too). He always had this unique, nostalgiac gimmick about him having 2 versions. Some people prefered the robot version, others preferred the human versions.

They ruined that by alternating the timeline, and also by reducing Cyber Smoke to a mere alt. I love NRS and will support them through thick and thin, but we can't deny the facepalm choices they have made throughout the years.

Human Smoke's story is infinitely better than cyber Smoke's.


He was a kid who was burned to death, brought back as a creature.

Of course he would never reveal the hidden character via his twitter, duh. :P

If we consider all of his posts as real answers, it's not Tanya, Reiko, Fujin, Havik, Mavado, Mokap, and the list goes on.

What do you mean, duh? I'm just telling you that Fujin isn't the 4th DLC character, not that he would ever reveal of the 4th DLC character.

I mean that if you pull out of your head ANY CHARACTER and ask Ed Boon on his twitter if that character is the 4th DLC, he will say no. I'm just saying that I do not scrap the possibility of Fujin being the 4th DLC just because Boon denied it via twitter. :S

I do remember seeing him denying Tanya in his twitter, I will check it later. But yes, I have never seen him denying Reiko.

Sub-Zero did get boring after MK 4, but so did a LOT of characters, and NRS didn't screw up their story as badly as they did with Sub-Zero, in MK 9.
Sheeva and Stryker were among the TOP hated characters (from the Mk 1 thru UMK 3 timeline) before E3 2010, and look at how they improved them in MK 9.
They didn't NEED to alter Sheeva and Stryker's timeline to make them better.

MK 9 was a reboot for ALL MK characters.
They didn't need to REVIVE Sub-Zero's character by making him a cyborg.

His character would have been revived through the MK 9 Story Mode alone (as was Scorpion), since they started the story from MK 1.
