I was biting my tongue about this and I was hoping no one would get me started... I agree, his actual gameplay looks fine. But HIS LOOK?!! :banghead: Gah!... all I'll say is that this time around he looks less like he belongs in Mortal Kombat and more like he should be a greeter on Fantasy Island.

ehhh... it's 2011, not 1992. I don't think I want Yamaha keyboard-"quality" sound on a modern game... I'm just ribbing, of course. I get your point. And really, AFAIC it's not a proper Raiden intro/win pose if the environment doesn't black out when he shoots lightning bolts into the sky.

For his intro, he's never actually "ridden" a bolt of lightning down like the warriors in BTLC. That might be interesting. But how I would do it if I were a member of NRS is the following: A single bolt of lightning strikes the ground, leaving a burn mark directly on the ground under Raiden...

He's Raiden... he doesn't have to "try" to intimidate anybody. Imagine being confronted by a 7-foot freak who teleported in from a bolt of lightning directly in front of you, with electricity constantly running across his body, and then says something oddly threatening like "Thunder take you."...

Anyone know if there's a collection of John Tobias' artwork online? I'm a big fan of his original character sketches for the classic games (namely pts. II & 3). Any help would be much appreciated.
