Who will die in MK11?

Anyone is up.
Given the deaths in MK9 and MKX, anything is possible.

That said, I think the 8 new characters aren't as likely as they just finished debuting in MKX, but as I said before anyone is fair game at this point.

I'm dead sure that in the next game the lucky loser will be Jax. However, he'll be resurrected and will be also a playable character once again because we all love him so much!

I'll wait for some actual news about the next game and who's in it before judging who's going to get the axe.

I don't see any point of killing off popular characters if they will be back sooner then later. The ones who should die should stay dead for good. Hsu Hao was killed off in the comic as a way saying "He's gone for good".

^ Well, that wasn't very nice.

Anyways, I'll bet good money that D'vorah gets killed at least, especially if Shang Tsung returns and revives Mileena among other things. Besides that, probably a boat load of civilian NPCs will become collateral damage, Kano's streak will end, one of the kombat kids (Jacqui more likely than the others) as well as Raiden and the revenants if they aren't purified by story's end.

...If MK11 were to follow that route, but it's highly suspect that it'll be an IGAU type scenario to close out the current story arc and it's time altering screw ups.

I call Scorpion.

He avenged his family by killing Quan Chi.

He's restored the Shirai-Ryu by training Takeda.

He made peace with Sub-Zero and the Lin Kuei.

And he overcame the evil within himself.

So aside from protecting earthrealm, what does he have to live for?

Rather than a grusome murder, I say give him a death similar to Ezio Auditore's in Assassin's Creed: show him as a now-elderly grandmaster who looks back on his life, what he's accomplished, and he simply dies peacefully.

Scorpion is the Ryu of MK and he will never be killed.
He's Boon's baby, and he won't ever be gone.
Get used to it.

I can't see D'vorah making it much longer, the Brotherhood is in shambles. Not everyone has to die, not everyone needs to be on the roster either.

While I agree that not everyone has to die or be on the roster, I disagree on D'Vorah.
D'Vorah, Kotal Kahn, Cassie Cage, Erron Black and Takeda seem pretty safe for the next game, imo.
If it's a set of characters that the fans don't seem to like (unfortunately), that seems to be either Ferra / Torr or Jacqui, which is sad because I feel like so much more can be done with those 3 and people are just dismissing them in MKX.

I agree, Scorpion won't be going anywhere. If anything, he'll turn back into the flaming-skull-demon guy we all know and love by the time MK11 lets out, probably by Dark Raiden's hand to make him more "bloodthirsty".

I also think that Noob Saibot will return in MK11 and seize control of the Netherrealm, killing off a chunk of the revenants like Sindel, Kabal, Stryker etc. in the process. Hopefully Kitana and Kung Lao are both saved/brought back to life by then, I would flip my lid if those two get killed...again. Meanwhile, Liu Kang and Raiden kill each other in the final battle of the story mode.

I was hoping to see that happen in MKX (regarding Noob Saibot), with a similar story part as his MK9 ending, which would also give us Havik, but nope.
As for Noob killing off a chunk of revenants if he becomes the new NetherRealm ruler?
Nah, I hope that Noob would have them serving the Brotherhood of Shadow.

I can see Shang Tsung being killed off by Kenshi and Takeda if he is not our main villain for MK11.

That makes no sense. Why would they revive a character in a game specifically to kill him off in that same game?

Making death in MK more trivial than it is now is no easy feat, but this would actually manage it.
