I think the statues represent mk9, since, there´s Shang Tsung, Shao Kahn and others in the old costumes.
 
So we have 21 officially confirmed (22 if you throw Jax in the mix, which i'm 99% sure he's in too) Then I think we can add Shinnok and hopefully Fujin to the list, which gives us 24. Then I also reckon Liu Kang will be back making 25. So do we have one more space left? Who could it be, possibly Erron Black? One things for sure, Shinnok isn't the big bad in the game. I doubt we'd see so many confrontations early on in the game with him(Fujin, Raiden, Shinnok / Cassie, Sub-Zero, Shinnok) if he was the big bad.

I know we complain about how bad the female face jobs have been, but I have to admit, Sonya looks great!! I feel excited to play her. I'm really hoping Fujin will be playable, that would be awesome! I was really hoping Tanya would be, but it seems very unlikely now but I'm happy we are going to get more post MK3 characters.
 
That trailer was pretty good actually. Had to watch it at work.

liu kang and erron black are the last reveal that it sorry but nither rain or fujin are in unless there more boxes
 
the trailer was complete badass!

i think johnnys outfits look crap though. looks like a generic character from a snowboarding game, not that i want him shirtless or suited up in armour or anything but surely they could of done better with the clothing.

fujin is not going to be playable unless there 27 slots now if oyu count goro which i doubt erron and liu kang are more most likely the last two slots sorry
 
Yo, this is the 2nd most hype trailer I've seen. I'm really excited to see Johnny Cage in this game.

Pretty much Kenshi is confirmed in the roster just by judging off the mobile game. Almost all of the OGs are in the game so without a doubt, Liu Kang is in this game! Glad to see Sonya and Jax. I'm really hoping Lord Shinnok is playable!! He looks bad ass!!

Revenant Jax looks awesome
Shinnok looks siiiick
Sonya looks all right, I'm not a fan but I'm not complaining

Kenshi's beard looks AWFUL. How am I the first to point this out? Good god, that thing looks less real than Nicholas Cage's hairpiece.

*Shinnok uses a variety of speedy attacks and a robust arsenal of spells from his amulet in his Impostor variation, some energy rises from the ground like Shang Tsung's ground fireballs and he also has a Amulet blast spell that stuns the opponent for a free hit.*

holy @)#&*, i just don't understand why people cannot comprehend what Ed says... "there will be more than 30 characters"... "the character select screen is not final"....

we already know 24 playable characters, 26 if you count the guest character which we know is coming, and goro. that would mean there is nobody left to reveal based on the character select screen...

i wouldn't be surprised is maybe tomorrow they do a reveal and there is another entire row of characters yet to be revealed. or a new character screen all together

edit: 27 known playable characters if the shinnok news is real (and 28 if erron black is in, which is about a 99% certainty)

Where's the guy that said "NO 3 ROWS OF CHARACTERS" ?
I think tomorrow we will also see the new finished character select screen, maybe not with everything filled but im sure its final with the boxes.
Reiko & Fujin are probably playable as well, with the 1st batch of DLC im sure we'll be over 30 characters.
Also in the trailer is shows Baraka, but just before that you can see 1 man sitting on the left, not a statue anyone else noticed him???

PS: Did anyone see this at TKT?
