Death's in Storymode

I could see Quan Chi being killed off by both Scorpion and Sub-Zero. Noob could take over the Brotherhood of Shadows after Quan Chi is gone. Knowing MK, no one that is popular stays dead for good. I don't see Sonya, Johnny Cage, Jax and Kenshi being killed off. They may not return in MK11 but I can see them coming back games beyond MK11 since they are iconic and fan favorites.

Yup.
I'm not 1 of those people.
I find it even funnier how people always want the same Trilogy roster coming back, yet act like they want something new.
In the end, they wind up wanting the same repeated roster, because they can't move on.
I'm not saying that this is you, either, but I see so many people want the same exact character back game after game, then they wonder why NRS is not as creative or more original with the same repeated character, which appears game after game.
This VERY thing happened with MKX Reptile.
Reptile's gameplay was shown and people are on a constant "Wah, he looks too reptilian" or "Wah, the gameplay looks the same" (Even though it really doesn't with the "Noxious" variation, or the time slowing variation.)
Instead of creating more new and original characters, NRS are forced to improve on the old characters in the last game, because the fans are unwilling to move.
So, instead of getting more of something new and original like Ferra/ Torr or Kotal Kahn, we get a bunch of people crying because Reptile or Kitana don't meet their self-entitled standards.

That's exactly my point.
Kill them off or retire them for a game or 2, and let some of these new faces shine, for once.
Baraka, Kitana, Mileena, Kung Lao, Cyrax, Sektor, Nightwolf and Ermac were brand new characters in MKII and MK3.
People gave them a chance, and they were able to shine and go beyond just MKII and MK3.

Want an entirely new cast of characters? Go play another game, there's plenty of new characters for you to discover in those. Mortal Kombat is a muilti-million dollar franchise that happens to be owned by one of the biggest media giants in the world. I don't see Warner Bros. allowing NRS to make a game with an entirely new kast while more bankable kombatants sit on the shelf collecting dust.

As for the new guys in MKX- most of them suck so far IMO, except Kotal Kahn and maybe Cassie. Besides those 2, we got us some new punching bags in the likes of Ferra/Torr and Dvorah.

Just because my opinions don't validate yours, doesn't mean that I care for the game any less than you do.
The same way that you're allowed to express your certain likes and dislikes with things, so am I.

Quan Chi killing Kitana and Kung Lao in an attempt to take their souls back
Kano killing Johnny Cage
Cassie or Sonya killing Kano in anger
Quan Chi killing Raiden to make good on his claiming of the thunder god's soul
Fujin being killed by his old friend Raiden
D'Vorah and Ferra/Torr killing each other
Quan Chi being killed by either a lone Scorpion or a Scorpion who set aside his differences and hatred with Sub-Zero long enough for them to kick his ass seven ways to Sunday

That's exactly the point.
He can't.
He's just making a baseless assumption that those 2 will be crap, without even playing the game yet, just because something doesn't look a certain way.
Hell, Cassie and Reptile don't look that appealing to me now, but I can at least keep an open mind and give those 2 a chance when the game comes out.
Who knows, for all I know 1 of those 2 (or both) may be my new MKX main.
