SPOILER ALERT:Mortal Kombat X DIGITAL COMIC DISCUSSION

Nah, they were more likely thinking "All the casuals were dying to play as Goro/Kintaro/Shao Kahn in MK9, so lets hold him hostage in order to get Pre-orders."

They didn't give us Goro just because it would be "cool". They did it because they thought Goro would get them the most pre-orders.

And the biography's may not have been 100% canon in MK9, but i'm willing to bet money that's going to change this time around.
Goro may even make an appearance in story. Goro's not just "DLC", he's pre-order DLC. They have the chance to implement him into the story. Just like how the klassic cosutmes were implemented into the story.

Of course, I should've clarified more. What I meant to say is that they weren't thinking of putting him in the main roster in the first place, and yes since casuals love a playable "boss" it made business sense to put him as pre-order DLC. However, what I was trying to get at was that it doesn't matter if he's DLC with limbs attached, he probably won't be a playable character in Story Mode, (you'll probably see him in the cutscenes if he indeed does make an appearance like you said, however, limbless) and whatever Bio they give him is going to be non canon.

I don't think there's reason for any complaints here. He's a bonus, and I highly doubt his appearance as a fighter in this game with arms in tact, is canon. Otherwise he wouldn't be DLC.

Sorry, but you really don't know that. How do you know they weren't planning on making Goro playable on the main roster, but changed him to pre-order DLC later?

Again, you don't know that. It's much more likely that Goro has a bio and it's 100% canon. There is no reason what so ever (besides the arms) to give him a non canon bio. Goro isn't a character like Rain or Skarlett. He actually has purpose within the story.

They're obviously going to be giving him a lame "new arms" story. Goro lives was clearly a nod to this as well as MK1. We have to find out exactly how Goro lives. The bio will be canon.

You're right, I don't know that. Just like you don't know what you're claiming is 100%, so let's just agree to disagree and we'll see who's right on April 14

Well, technically I never said I was 100% correct. I said if he has a bio, it's more likely to be 100% canon.

I don't understand what were really disagreeing about? Are you trying to say Goro's bio in MKX won't even mention the arms? Or are you saying, he will have a dumb new arms story, but it won't be canon?

I'm confused.

Disagreeing about how him being a playable fighter with arms is Canon.

I don't doubt seeing him in story mode, either as a flashback, or armless. But he won't canonically have his arms back.

Like I said, I just think his inclusion as a playable fighter is just a bonus, like Skarlet, Kenshi, Rain in MK9.

So yeah: Agree to disagree.

Well I guess we will have to agree to disagree.

Because I don't really see that being possible at all. There is just no reason to make his whole appearance in MKX non canon. No reason at all. He was left alive for a reason. That reason was for him to "live" and have his revenge story.

Goro Lives, and the bio will explain exactly how he did so. I don't really see how it's even debatable.

Guys, remember MKX is in 25 years of time span.

Goro can still be sub-boss of the Netherrealm War, just like on MK4.

His inclusion on the game may date that.

Doesn't seem very likely IMO.

The trailer says "Goro lives" with Goro walking forward with all four of his arms.
That's clearly a nod to Goro's current situation in the comics.

Goro lives and gets new arms. Why is that so far fetched?

You're starting to remind me of a Rain fan. I'm questioning just how much I like Goro right now :(

So he's on Kotal's team now?

No, hahaha, he seems to be on his own team. He seduced Mileena, and he told her that after Goro kill Kotal, the Shokan Prince would try to kill her. That sounded like a lie. He gained her trust, but he seems to want something more. Considering his backstory, I think he will betray her.

Doesn't seem very likely IMO.

Yes, but Goro lives is a nod to MK1, I think his participation in the game predates this fight, the same way we fought with dead characters on MK9.
