[SPOILER] Sub-Zero's identity in MKX confirmed!

Re: [SPOILER, RUMOR] Sub-Zero's identity in MKX is...

Do you think it would be pointless or accepted that BOTH Sub Zero's were in the game, Bi-Han & Kuai Liang?!

But here's a twist. what if in MKX Scorpion & Kuai Liang were actually an Alliance (Sub Zero's MK9 ending). Realizing they were never enemies. Living their lives until called upon. But with the Resurrection of Bi-Han, seeing Kuai Liang and Hanzo as "friends" he is their enemy or All 3 go after Quan Chi

Would be awesome but I don't see it happen. (According to dialogues)
And I would prefer if three go after Quan Chi. Not making Bi-Han an enemy.

Noob Saibot confirmed!

Re: [SPOILER, RUMOR] Sub-Zero's identity in MKX is...

I hope Bi-Han stays an enemy, as Noob-Saibot.

I hope not. How can we fully appreciate Noob Saibot's corruption, when we don't know how much of an asshole Bi-Han was to begin with? Is Noob Saibot like all the bad qualities of Bi-Han with none of the good? Is he more evil? Is he way more evil? Is he evil in the same ways, or in different ways?

I don't really care if Bi-Han is a good guy or a bad guy, I just hope we get to find out what kind of guy he is. And if he ever transforms into Noob Saibot again, that will be so much more meaningful.

Re: [SPOILER, RUMOR] Sub-Zero's identity in MKX is...

In the Ermac reveal, We.ve heard several different Intro dialogues which i think can help with identifying which Sub Zero we are dealing with for time being.

Sub Zero- Shao Kahn is gone, you are free
Ermac- Come FEEL his presence
*to me this sounds like something Kuai Liang would say

Sub Zero- Ermac
Ermac- Your soul is corrupted
Sub Zero- Not corrupted, FREED
*Very arguably this could be Bi-Han

Sub Zero- how many souls do you harbour?
Ermac- We wield the might of Thousands
Sub Zero- Yet you have no heart
*Sounds more like Kuai Liang!

Thoughts?!

I really don't see how people think the corrupted soul dialogue is "confirming" Bi-Han, last time we saw Kuai Liang he was a dead zombie cyborg under Quan Chi's control if that's not a corrupted soul, please tell me what one is. That dialogue hints either.

Same for the first one, Ermac and Bi-Han fought on the same side, so it makes sense for Bi-Han to give a shit about his comrade's redemption.

The last one does feel more Kuaey Liangy from the little we know of Bi-Han. But far, far from conclusive.

Re: [SPOILER, RUMOR] Sub-Zero's identity in MKX is...

-Scorpion kills Bi Han
-Tundra becomes Subzero
-Bi Han becomes Noob
-Scorpion claims Tundra is not Subzero because he believes Bi Han is the true sub zero
-Tundra becomes cyber sub zero
-Tundra throws Noob in the soulnado (which most likely separated Noob from Saibot and cleansed his soul to a single one)
-Tundra is killed by Sindel
-Tundra is resurrected as well as Bi Han during the Netherealm war to do Quan Chi's bidding but eventually freed after the war
-After the war, Tundra is captured by Kano and given the scar and is enslaved to the kamidogu
-Bi Han is the only one freed still and doesn't have a scar like in the gameplay and resembles the subzero fighting the cyborgs

I think it's Bi Han. The in-game dialogue (like Scorpion acknowledging subzero by name) and appearance seems to point to this. Also with Noob most likely not being in the game, it seems likely its Bi Han which would make for a more interesting story arc for his character development in my opinion. If Tundra is in the game as an alt. costume then they'd have to change the dialogue as well to make sense.

That would never work well in a videogame. Only way it could work is in the comic. Have BiHan return as human during it but eventually die and go back to NoobSaibot for the game. Kinda like the shirai ryu.

What wouldn't work well? Bi-Han being Sub-Zero for a game or two, and then becoming Noob again? I respectfully disagree. Look at how Grom Hellscream's alignment has been played with over the years in the WarCraft universe, he was one-dimensionally evil in 1995, then in 2001 he was reinvented as a three-dimensional, flawed anti-hero, and now he's been turned into an antagonist again. And part of the reason he's scary is we used to root for him when he was an unstoppable force for the good guys. Now we know what kind of bad ass he is and are appropriately scared that he's on the other side.

I rather not wait up to a decade to get the character I want back just for a story arc that other characters (Raiden) are already set up for or already have done.

Re: [SPOILER, RUMOR] Sub-Zero's identity in MKX is...

Okay so let's also bring this up. We STILL don't know for sure whether Scorpion and Hanzo are different entities or if Scorpion is more like a mental condition for Hanzo. Regardless, it WAS NOT ripped from him in a soulnado in the original timeline. So, why would it do this for Bi-Han (and that's implying they are even different beings. We still don't know).

Then let's also bring up the fact that the Sub-Zero in the comic was retrieving the kamidogu for Raiden it appears. Could this possibly be one of the kamidogu which Raiden gave to Scorpion to guard which ultimately killed Forest and the rest of the Shirai Ryu?

Now let's put that in perspective. Sub-Zero says "I tire of maintaining OUR innocence". Could he possibly be speaking on behalf of himself and Raiden?

Still doesn't lean to either brother, BUT all of the people using the "murderer" line as their defense for Bi-Han need to realize that a whole new Shirai Ryu has now been slaughtered and it can be seen why he would THINK Sub-Zero had something to do with it. Even if he didn't.

But what function does Noob Saibot fulfill that another Netherrealm demon couldn't do in his stead? I might be wrong, but he feels like a pretty dead end character to me.

You definitely are wrong. Noob Saibot is very dynamic in the fact that he wants to take over THE NETHERREALM. The most evil place in the Mk universe. Once he does so he could become boss status if he wanted or if Netherea studios would choose to go that way with him. In fact Noob has a lot of open doors he could take as a character. Maybe even become a neutral character by helping Scorpion, Sub-Zero, and the other heroes take down Shinnok and Quan during the netherrealm war. He could also try and destroy Sub-Zero's life thinking Kuai has taken everything he deserved. Noob Saibot could be an A tier villain in MK and mk9 proved that the popularity is there for that as well.

Saying he's a dead end character is crazy. Reptile is a dead end character. I love him, but he is.

Re: [SPOILER, RUMOR] Sub-Zero's identity in MKX is...

lol in the last real game of the old timeline Noob had been elevated to the SubBoss. He had begun getting himself an army. Noob-Saibot is one of the most open characters going forward.

Re: [SPOILER, RUMOR] Sub-Zero's identity in MKX is...

I want Bi-Han to apologize for that "we share blood, we are not brothers", even though he was possessed and the quote is awesome.

Kuai Liang traveled to Outworld to avenge his brother, that's not something rivals would do.

We never saw Bi-Han, as Sub-Zero, mentioning Kuai Liang at all.

That will be very cool, they must work together. And probably that "our" innocence now, without a doubt*, makes sense.

*Oops:

Now let's put that in perspective. Sub-Zero says "I tire of maintaining OUR innocence". Could he possibly be speaking on behalf of himself and Raiden?

That's an amazing question.

We STILL don't know for sure whether Scorpion and Hanzo are different entities or if Scorpion is more like a mental condition for Hanzo.

They surely are the same, Hanzo is a stabilized condition of the being we commonly call Scorpion.

He wants to be called Hanzo to show "rebirth".

I mean, the guy is controlled, calling him Scorpion when he is calm is a little bit strange.
