For those complaining about this game being a re-hash

Both of you need to stop. Calling anyone's perception of what was said by the devs is unfair. They specifically said we would be seeing more new characters than ever. We have yet to be shown that. In fact we're seeing quite the opposite. I, personally, am not very upset about this - but it shouldn't be too hard to see why our fellow fans are.
We're all MK fans here. I don't see why there's so much shitting on each other.
 
I don't buy a fighting game based on the characters or story, gameplay is all I care about, I'll find a character that fits my play style eventually. I'll probably play through the story mode a few times, but it's the arcade and VS modes that will keep bringing me back.

And no, this game is not a MK9 re-hash, I played it, not only does it look nothing like MK9, it also plays nothing like it. So far, my only complaints and concerns are gameplay related.

Also, I disagree. The story is just as much a mystery as the roster. Besides, you can't says it's the best MK. The game didn't even come out yet.

You may not buy a fighting game for that reason, but a lot of MK's fanbase are heavily invested in the story and always have been. MK9 has been the best entry into the story in a long lonnnnng time. So a lot of us have high expectations for MKX - Especially with all of the promises of change from the devs.

As for your second point -- YES. Exactly. People seem to think it's going to play like mk9. I played at Gamestop Expo and can safely say that it does not. The variations and the running add a whole new layer. Not to mention; the combo strings are completely different. It's going to take quite a bit of getting used to from MK9.

Wow. Dude. Stop. People are making valid complaints. They want to see the new characters that they were promised. The last thing we wanted to see was characters returning from the dead after being promised a different MK than before.

Says the person who went on a pissing rant and cursed people out, and claimed that you would never return to TRMK, just because people disagreed with wanting Kitana in. :laugh:
Now that Kitana is revealed you can go masturbate to Kitana and let the rest of us enjoy everything else about MKX. :)

I can agree with this, especially since Boon himself said "we have no idea what we will do in the next game".

But even with going this (stupid) way they should never kill Sub-Zero and Kitana.

After all resurrections that happened after Beran got in charge of storyline, i don't expect any good enough reasons behind Kung Lao, Sub-Zero and Kitana resurrections, and i really expect Jax and Kabal to return as well at this point.

Not for these "online competition" guys, they always loved Kabal, Kung Lao and Smoke. I think Boon made it clear, he build MKX for tournaments like EVO.

And Jax is here, because he have many moves and can be easily updated for 3 variations.

Quan Chi, Fujin, Tanya, Reiko, Kenshi and Havik were indeed groundbreaking breaths of fresh air.
Just because some MK4 thru MKA characters were shit, doesn't mean that ALL were.

I'm enjoying MKX just fine right now.
Just because I don't agree with the reveals or feel disappointed with the last 2 reveals, doesn't mean that I don't like MKX, as a whole.
It's a given that I'm not going to like ALL the characters on any roster.
Way to ASSume, though.

He is not. He is voicing his opinion. They wiped most of the roster to bring in new faces and characters from other games. To be honest, I expected Scorp, Sub, Raiden, Kano, Johnny Cage, Quan Chi, and one of the cyborgs to return. Not Kitana and Kung Lao...

Why would they be, compared to anyone else? Kabal, especially, has very unique gameplay, visual aesthethic and enough tools to fit three variation. Jax is as iconic as Kitana and Kung Lao.

Dude. Seriously. Cut. It. Out. We get it. You and Commander don't like each other. Please quit dragging this bull into EVERY THREAD. PLEASE. He's not being spoiled and bratty. His opinion on this is just as valid as yours. If not more-so. We are consumers , not only that but long time MK fans as well, and the marketing team has kinda been dicking us around for the last couple of months. It's getting old. And a lot of us are frustrated with it. It's not being bratty when we're expecting something that we were told multiple times that we would get.

See? Most of the fans will be perfectly fine with them. I think the majority of fans will be ok to see Nightwolf and Smoke again as well.

This is sad for me really, cause i wanted for MK to have some guts to go different from any other fighting games road and not reuse 90% of previous game's roster every time.
