When MK 2011 first came out and people were screaming about online issues etc, if i recall NRS was out there on day one commenting that they were 'aware of xyz', or at least commenting on people's concerns.

Doesnt anyone find it extremely odd that noone from NRS has said anything at all about MKAK since its been released? Not Ed, not Hector, Rigo, or even the official Mortal Kombat Twitter feed....hell none of them are talking at all about anything (MKAK related or not). I just find it really strange that's all......

I totally agree with you! Its disgusting though if anything! How they can Fu*k us TRUE MK fans over and deliver us this big bag or CRAP for $10... I'm so disappointed in the quality of its release!!!

They really made a comeback this year with sales and DLC sales. And MKAK was a nice little bonus for them. I imagine if Legacy gets a dvd release, that will sell nicely as well.
$ and marketing. Maybe they're done caring about our concerns?
 
Its sad...with over 3 million in sales on the new MK and interest in the series at an obvious real high point right now, you'd think it would be a no brainer to keep interest high by introducing these new fans to the old titles via the best quality ports your could get. Instead, they half ass the whole thing and (seemingly) don't even care enough to acknowledge that people are pissed off. Its mind-boggling to me how this happened, and even more mind boggling how Ed Boon ok'd this to be released in this state. MK is his baby...you bet your ass that nothing MK related gets released without his ok, so i just dont get it...

I agree they would have at least mentioned something by now about these issues on Via Twitter etc

Yea I dunno man. Looks like they just rushed to get it out. The hype of mk9 would keep the sales flowing into mkak. I had mk2 for 360 when i still had it so i could play online, and it looks like it ran alot smoother than what is presented for mkak. I would like to enjoy the kollection, but Ill wait and see what happens to the online play.

Probably because Other Ocean developed the game. The only person from NRS who has ANY say at all would be Ed Boon, who I'm pretty sure didn't really have much to do at all with these ports. Try getting into contact with Other Ocean via twitter or such.
There's no reason to start trolling hate threads for a series we all love.
C'mon guys, I remember 8 years ago, when the community would've been DYING for MK to get this much attention coverage... and now that it has, I feel like we've been embarassing ourselves.
Sheesh.
 
Im pretty sure the buck stops with Ed Boon, since he's the Creative Director or something like that at NRS. NOTHING MK gets released without his ok, so actually he has as much to do with this mess as Other Ocean does.

Oh man, I didn't think this was a hate thread. More of a like "how come no one is answering us". I mean in my imagination I can see NRS and Other Ocean at a conference pointing the fingers at eachother. But then again, maybe not- depending on sales.

Ok, well if you really feel that way, why not drop him an email?
But, you do know that ocassionally some of NRS does check these forums and, well, would you want to make this kind of impression on them? I'm sure they wouldn't hold back from telling Ed all the crazy things people have said about him. Sad thing is, all over a 10$ re-release of a game that's over 19 years old. I find it utterly amazing how folks are so ready to just jump this guy. Do you ever think he's got a lot of stuff on his plate? Give 'em a break, and try contacting him via twitter or email. But I can GUARANTEE if you ask like you have been in this forum, you will probably not get a reply back.
Venting is OK, but none the less, just like I tell my buddies on facebook, be careful what you are posting, you never know who is going to actually read it.

I doubt anyone is pointing fingers at anyone, considering Other Ocean is the responsible developer. And they're not answering you because today the game was released. It's going to take more than a few days, even WEEKS for them to asess this... like I said, give it 2 to 3 weeks. I'm not saying don't let your voices be heard, but don't sound like a screaming, crazed fan running naked through the baseball field when you DO make your voices heard. Know what I'm sayin'?
 
I must have missed something as I havent really been here last couple of days.... How are the ports in MKAK half assed? What happened?
 
Ive tweeted him politely about my (and others concerns), ive emailed Other Ocean politely about my (and others concerns). Ive been coming to TRMK for years, and i know that Ed and other teammembers read these forums. That's the whole point. We WANT them to read our concerns....theyre not little 2 year olds that are going to get offended and cry because we vent about something we're pissed about! They love the passion of the MK fans, theyve said this many times over the years.

Its irrelevant to me what people "have on their plate" when its their job to make sure that quality product gets released to the public. As a consumer who's paid $10, or $60, i have a right to voice my opinion of that product if its sub-par. And this Kollection at this point is sub par.

Aggroing trolls? I'm not trying to offend anyone, I'm simply saying to be reasonable and patient. Let's make this constructive, not DESTRUCTIVE. Yes voice your concerns, showcase bugs, make videos of these bugs, post them in one, big giant post requesting a patch.
As for all of this garbage about NRS bashing, well, I think I speak for common sense thinkers who say: Stop.
Use rational thought, not this anger inducing stuff. You're all working yourselves up together and before you know it you're gonna get yourselves far more angry than even 10 dollars is worth! Shucks, you can get a meal at a resteraunt for the same price as this. Man, if you guys complain like this about every 'product' I'd sure hate to have you as a customer. That's all I'm saying.
Sure, there's a reason to complain. I'm not denying this nor am I being a 'fan boy' and saying this is perfect and there's nothing wrong with it. No, I agree with you. It needs to be fixed, and it probably will be. But how will it get fixed, faster? Well, maybe if we work together WITH these developers in showcasing what is broken about this game and then, you know, make a nice, neat and complete thread, it'd get done faster. It'd eliminate half of their QA bs to deal with. They'd know (or at least have a better idea of) the issues at hand to fix.
C'mon guys, doing this is just going to make people resentful of you that work at NRS / Other Ocean that read this stuff.
Be civil and constructive, that's how things get done.
 
Not offending anyone. Like getting their attention and causing them to attack you. Aggro. Tank. A defensive stance. You take the heat for someone else.

Ie) Boon or NRS isn't here to defend themselves so you take the aggro.
