No, in MK Gold Cyrax didn't get rehumanized, Sonya & Jax just 'freed his brain', like it was done by Kabal & Smoke with Cyber-Zero (MK9). Both Cyrax and Sub-Zero stayed cyborgs (I mean - closed in cyber bodies forever) and MK3 Robo Smoke's ending suggested that cyber initiative is an irreversible process. I know MK plot is full of bugs, holes, nonsenses, inconsequences etc. but c'mon, it need to be stopped or (at least) limited.

But since CSZ is dead, they can revive him however they want, cyborg or human.

Some things to consider about the CSZ dilemma -

Along with Scorpion, Sub Zero is now the face of MK. To me, making him permanently cyborg is like making Scorpion permanently cyborg. It's just wrong. Is Cyber SZ a good character? I think so, and I think most fans can agree he's at least well-made. But he's still not the iconic Sub Zero.

Noob is also a huge success in MK9, and I can't imagine him not being brought back in MK10. So out of the three, the character with the least chance of returning is CSZ. IMO he was made primarily because of the huge demand for Human Smoke, and exists to fill the third cyborg slot from the timeline that MK9's based on. He simply isn't needed for MK10. The most likely outcome I can see is Kuai Liang being ressurrected back to human form.

Anyway, NR are in the best position to decide if they want to bring CSZ back or not. Based on his popularity, they can either find a way to include him in MK10, or simply leave him back in MK9. No matter what though, I can't see the next MK game without a human Sub Zero. It'd be a monumental mistake to leave out that one.

Agree 100% jarvis.
Sub-Zero and Scorpion are (and have been) iconic, since MK 1.
NRS leaving out HUMAN Sub-Zero in MK 10 would be as monumental a mistake as leaving out Scorpion, in MK 3.

Cyber Sub-Zero just filled up that 3rd cyber slot in the roster, and so that Ed Boon didn't look like a liar when he said "Someone who was a cyborg before may not be this time, and vice versa."

Hmmm I honestly prefer Jason's deli sandwiches

What about both?
Freddy's chopped steak, with a Jason sandwich and a Michael Meyers strudel?
LUNCH SPECIAL!!!!

Actually .... Now that I think about it; forget the strudel.

How about some PIE???

It's just as reasonable as explaining how Cyrax became human at the end of MK: GOLD

Don't forget that this is MK.
Anything can happen.

B-Han's soul could have been split apart from Noob Saibot when he was thrown into the Soulnado.
Similar to how Spiderman took off the Venom suit, but it still knew that he was Peter Parker when it aligned itself to Eddie Brock.

The story for Bi Han was like that in MKA

Im sorry, i dont want to be rude but if you think NRS will turn one of their most iconics and beloved characters into a cyborg permanently then you are bit silly. It won't happen.

Oh trust me I'm not being silly. If NRS went out of their way to make Sub-Zero a cyborg, then it is more likely he will stay a cyborg and human will be DLC/unlockable. Hell, next game no one knows what type of moveset Cyber Sub-Zero will be. It may be possible just to have human Sub-Zero as a skin.

Changes happen in reboots, play old games if you want it different.

He wont stay as a cyborg, NRS wont make that huge mistake. Is common sense.

Ed Boon has let games full of horrible characters come out, so I wouldn't put it past them.
But I agree there would be a tirade of hissy/shit fits from the fans, if NRS left cyber sub in.
Its more likely that since he died at the end that he will either be resurrected. Or they may have someone else take up the mantle of Sub-Zero.

Just like Liu Kang didn't stay a zombie in the previous story haha.

Anyways. It's your opinion that it's a mistake and all because it's your opinion, it doesn't make it automatically "common sense".

NRS knows if they keep him a cyborg AND have the human Sub as DLC or unlockable, only a minority of fans will be upset. And more than likely the ones that would be that upset to still throw a pissy fit over having BOTH versions of Sub-Zero, they will still buy the new game due to how much they love MK.

I doubt a lot that they will leave Sub Zero as a Robot, they did the same mistake at the past with Liu and Reptile for example but Sub and Scorpion is the 2 main characters from the series and also i didn't see any support to Cyber Sub from NRS, from artwork, teasers and costumes to dlc.
