Mortal Kombat finally makes a return to being not only relevant, but MK9 is actually one of the greatest fighting games I've ever played. It saddens me to see a return to the type of dumb gimmicks that caused MK to become a joke prior to MK9. I don't want to light up torches and go after NRS, I love them for making a great game, but this was a bad move with how it was handled. If they waited a little bit and added Freddy and maybe Jason for a Halloween dlc, I probably wouldn't have been angry.The only flaw in this dlc is the hype train, people hoping one of their MK favorites would finally join the roster, but the hardcore players have been screwed. All I ask of NRS is that they do not end the dlc here. Give us more MK characters, the characters your fans want. It is imperative that NRS maintain the loyalty of their fans, the fans that got them where they are today.

I totally would've chose Jason over Freddy! Or even better a Fighter from MK! Outworld goddess make a Freddy hater group!

This isn't exactly the best logic either.

It's like saying, "Let's not boycott the DLC so we'll have more chances of getting another cross-over character nobody asked for instead of a real one".

Release Ed Boon as DLC. Then start stupid threads like "MANDATORY COMPATIBILITY PACK - I PAYED TO PLAY AS ED BOON AND I WILL, REGARDLESS OF ANYONE'S INTENTIONS".

Who wants to bet that in less than an hour this forum is going to explode with (more) nerdrage between the pro and anti-Freddy camps? Threads will be closed, users will be banned, peace will be restored. All is well.

On the one hand im lightly annoyed hes a guest. I dont mind guests but the hardcore fanbase seems to be ignored here. On the other hand hes a fitting guest. I do wish they exploited some of his other powers more... but he still looks fun. Its not that bad and overall the situation is pretty funny.
Ill definately get him.

You can play online against someone, using Freddy, just not against me.
That's MY choice, and I have that right.
I don't want ANY guest characters in Mortal Kombat.

I've been saying this from Day 0, during E3 2010.

It also supports what they're currently working towards, I mean i'm a bit impartial towards this, but admittedly if it were Jason i'd be more enthused. Also, didn't they say they'd see how the DLC sells before thinking about more?

i paid for him in the season pass and i'm still not going to download him, im never going to fight this retard if i have a say in it
