It doesn't make since to make the ??? kharacter an all ready known MK kharacter. If that was the case they would have made Rain,Kenchi, and Skarlet a mystery as well. So that leads to new kharacter or a guest kharacter. My guess would be a guest kharacter and since warner bros. owns the fanchise, I suspect someone from a game to be release later this year from the studio and would be Batman or the Joker.it Makes sense if you think about it.

No, it doesn't. The only reason for the "???" is to keep the hype alive. And it certainly won't be Batman or the Joker, they were already part of a failed MK game.

Regardless of whether or not ??? will be a guest character, I cannot imagine it would be Batman or the Joker. Both were characters in MK vs DC, a game that is regarded as a complete and utter failure by a great deal of MK fans. A lot of people would be really unhappy with either of those characters and I cannot imagine NRS not knowing that. Batman and the Joker are just not good choices, in my opinion.

If it will be anyone from Warner Bro's, my guess is Alma or Paxton from the FEAR Series; they are both owned by WB, and both are very gory type people.

Young Shujinko? Hmm. Never thought bout that one. That might be pretty cool. They can totally rework him in and he won't have everybody's moves. They could even be creative and if they decided to still give Fujin some of the characters moves; let him make them infusions. Like he could have an ice spear or fire sweep. Or he have completely new moves.

I think its out of Tanya or Fujin. These two are either a part of the other major characters past, or pre MK1(namely Fujin). These two make the most sense being in the game. Tanya ties to Quan Chi and the other Edenians(Rain, Kitana, Sindel) and Fujin is the earthrealm god that the other sub faced off against to get the amulet for Quan-Chi. It would interesting to see Fujin's role in the game. I think he is like Raiden's subordinate.

But why else would the magazine post this information?

My theory is that GamePro got more info than they bargained for and published what was supposed to be a secret.

Probably an error on NRS' behalf.



I know this seems a little absurd, everyone feels as if their guess is the right guess.
But I think this is, pretty solid :)

:lol: But seriously, I don't know man. Seeing Kintaro in those scans way back might slightly imply that he will be DLC. But I don't want him if they are just releasing him for offline play. If they made a version of Kintaro that is balanced for online play, I'd be all for it. But if I paid for this season pass to get an offline-only character, I'd be pissed.

I don't like the idea of a boss being playable, but it wouldn't be the worse thing in the world. I'd personally hope for someone that will give us a bit more insight as to where the story is heading, like a Reiko or Fujin.

But us slightly competitive fans will be more or less, disappoint, son.


But who the ****-a-luck-a-dingdong knows, they could pull a rabbit out the hat and make him balanced :)

I doubt that personally. I just can't see them releasing him over other characters. My guesses:

Reiko
Fujin
Frost
Tanya
Cyber-Smoke

Probably one of those guys, and I have a strong feeling for Fujin after the leak of those basic models that the announcer calls Fujin.

Cyber Smoke is probably my #1 most-wanted DLC character but honestly I don't know if it will happen. MK9 is an alternate timeline where Smoke didn't go in the cyber initiative. I know DLC characters aren't in story mode but NRS will probably still want to have things make sense.
