To be fair, "Telekenitic" Water Ball is still possible: The ball coats them in water, and since Rain controls water.... Technically, he wouldn't move them, but their watery shell.

Also, if Rain truely controls water, I want a Dehidration Fatality :D

That wouldnt be a bad Idea for a falality if it looked good with them doing it. Like something out of Indiana Jones kind of but better
 
I liked the telekinetic orb it led into my favorite UMK3 (Snes) and MKT Combo, Lightning bolt, Orb, Roundhouse, Roundhouse, Uppercut
 
I think Rain doesnt controll water per se, he can create water and manipulate his created water, like Sub-Zero or Smoke, they create the ice and smoke but I doubt they can manipulate natural ice and smoke, but I dont know for sure.

I like the Roundhouse Kick too. It may not fit with the rain motif (a motif I like), but most characters have a special or two that doesn't follow their trend. Sub-Zero has his Slide (only in the more recent games did it even have ice involved in it at all), Raiden's Torpedo is similar, etc etc. Rain's Super Roundhouse is cool, not everything about him has to be rainy. It could also work pretty well as the starter for his X-Ray.

Ok, so Dehydration Fatality wouldn't work, but his Water Ball still could control people.


Gah, I wish I was a clear cut as my brother on who he wants to play (He's played as Subby since the first one). I lose interest because I'm mixing moves and getting combos wrong between characters, but everyone is soooooooooo cool!

Ive been with Sub since MK1 you sound like someone who needs a character with alot of variety in their movesets. I know what your saying NRS did a good job on all the characters this time around
 
Well, I really liked Subby in MK vs DCU, but we kind of have an unwritten rule in my house: We don't do Mirror Matches. Be it fighting games, Warhammer 40k, or picking a character in a game like Bioshock 2. So Subby is out, as is Jade, and those are two of my top picks....

Scorpion, I've always found cool. But he's too main stream for me.

Reptile was WAY cooler as a Green Ninja, not a Lizard.

Ermac is my best, but not really my favorite,

Smoke doesn't have a good enough Mix-up for me.

And I just can't handle Zoning :( So Noob is out.

Hoping Rain does me proud...

lol I was the one who said that controllin orb should not return, just as a pushing back waterball without psychic habilities.

I know, but if you ask me (and I realize no one has), his Water Drop and Super Roundhouse are his two moves that he has, much like Scorpions Spear and Teleport.

I dig more his MKA moves, though I want the waterball returning but without the psychic function.
 
How about a drowning fatality? I imagine Rain creating a water orb around the opponent's head, and then the opponent struggles and drowns.

Another fatality could be to fill the opponent with a LOT of water until s/he explodes.

My guess would be no. It usually takes a couple of days to get these things edited and approved. I think it'll be next Monday before we see anything of Rain.
 
None of rains moves in UMK3 made sense to me. Cool? Yes, Appropriate? No. His moves in MKA were.... honestly....lame! And don't deny it.
How come he never had, a geyser, or like a mini title wave like move. He controls water, and water can do some wicked stuff.
 
I want to see some variation of an "Acid Rain" type of fatality.

If they can make eye balls pop out in Kenshi's Fatality, they can do an AWESOME Acid Rain Fatality.
Maybe something like Acid Rain hits the opponents FACE, making the brain, eyes, nose, ears and lips fall off, leaving a bloody hollow skull.
