Sadly, I doubt a demo will happen. Many demos have been released weeks if not months after the actual retail release, so don't keep your hopes up for yet another coming tuesday. Because of this though, I'm on the fence about preordering. Not saying the game will be bad, but I did want to try it before release. Possible I will be renting the game or buying it some time after release.

only 8 days left... a demo wont help us xbox 360 owners now...
if they wanted to release a demo, they would have released it like 15 days ago when the ps3 guys got it... that's the whole purpose of the demo... to get you ready for the real game.. but when the game in 8 days away from releasing there's no point of a demo.

@mdsfx I'm going to be doing the exact same with my local gamestop and I'll be doing it daily. I'll be around town anyway so theres no harm in popping in to see if there's a copy of it on the shelves. I don't think they often break street date though so I'll be checking local Xtravision and Smyths shops too if I'm in their general area.
Only played the demo twice in a friend's house (after convincing him to download it, he has it on pre-order now) since I don't have a PS3, would've loved to have had more time to master sub since he'll be the first character that I'll be running through arcade etc with. That said, if it came out on xbox live tomorrow (the 12th) I wouldn't be playing it until the 19th since I don't have a gold sub at the minute. If I still might DL it on the 19th but to be honest there's a decent chance that I wouldn't. No real point to it, release day is only 2 days later. I'll be outside my local gamestop at 9am regardless, wind rain sleet and snow won't be stopping me! Wreck my brothers and do some story/arcade/challenges, try out different tag combinations to see who works best for me.

It is possible a demo could get released tomorrow. The average time a demo is released is a week or two before launch. There have been demos released well before that but I am talking about in general. I honestly don't see it happening but I would love to be wrong.

I could care less about playing an old code demo. I'll be getting my hands on the real deal in 8 days. It would have been great to get the demo earlier, however, what are you gonna do.

idk what you guys are talking about but i still want the demo, i want to FEEL the way the game is played, iv sunken more money into this game than i ever had on any video game ever, KE Strategy Guide, KE edition at Gamestop and the TE at Walmart

Yea but if you already gave so much money you must have a feeling that you'll like the game right? You will feel it in a little over a week's time. What will demo change now except provide a bit of temporary satisfaction?
I look at this whole thing this way: the demo was available to PS Plus members for a long time and I'm not a member. I wasn't ready to pay $20 for a game that's coming out soon and that I know I'll buy (judging from all the youtube vids I saw). I got lucky that the demo is avaiable for PS users now but I seriously don't think I would flip out so much if I didn't have the demo. We're so close to having the full game!!!
Like someone already said, the game will probably feel even better for those who haven't played the demo because it will be COMPLETELY new.

@ Lux the Elder God: Imagine knowing the game is coming out and the closest you can get to it until release date is by constantly checking forums, twitter and youtube for new announcements/videos. It would be enough to drive anybody off their head. I don't begrudge the PS3 users the demo, far from it but people still would like to get a bit of a feel for the game, even if the demo is old code. It could be something as simple as just seeing how the xbox dpad holds up, can they use it or do they need to use their arcade sticks or in the event that they don't have a stick, go out and buy one. A lot of the people here will want to play competitively online and knowing which set up works better for them from the start is a helping hand. Those that have a PS3 and an arcade stick for that (but are getting it on 360) will know how it feels and will have an idea of which control setup they'll use. Getting used to some of the new commands for the special attacks or some of the new special moves that characters have such as Mileena's Face Gnaw etc etc.
I agree that playing it for the first time on release day (I'll pretend since I've played it only twice) will be...amazing for some people but there are others that would've liked to have that little bit of a leg up. As for sinking money into it most of, if not all, the members in this forum will be getting it, most at release date, others a bit later for whatever reason. No. Some demos come out just before the game does, and even some demos come out afterwards.
I don't know about you guys, but I don't usually play demos for more than 8 days anyways. Even if it came out a few hours before the full game it'd still be worth playing.
