Your paying for a service that really isn't any better than the ps3's online, and microsoft can't push for a demo? What's the purpose of paying for it then?

I don;'t want to console war, but Xbox live is worth what you pay, and has a lot more than PSN.
I want a demo but I wont kill for it, the game comes out in less than 10 days, I can wait!

Party Chat, Reliable download speeds, Simplistic updates that don't take 3 years, Higher bandwidth/better-stable online connections, an organized friends service, cross game chat, ability to play music while playing a game, Plus Xbox live has a larger active user base, thus more online games.

I don't pay for just demo advances and exclusives with Live. I pay for reliability, and the lack of cheaters in the games I play online. People are a lot less liable to use cheats and hacks in games online if they have to pay to play it online and can at any time be banned for doing so. Money out of their pockets isn't worth using their cheats.

Ever play Socom online and have the screen filled with unavoidable grenades causing insta kills of everyone on the map? I have. I don't deal with that crap on Xbox Live. Same deal with what happened with Modern Warfare 2 on PS3.

And as to the reliability... if the PSN network goes down, Sony in no way HAS to get it up and running fast, as people aren't paying them for to use the service. It's not to say they won't try, but due to cost and other issues they don't have to do jack as it's a free service.

Live on the other hand, if something happens, you can be sure Microsoft will be on that pronto and resolving any issues that come up as you pay to access gameplay online. The quality of the servers, and support for online play in games is ensured as well. Game companies making online games for PS3 in all likelyhood will need to host a server themselves, whereas support for that is part of development for 360 and done internally.

That's why I have no problems paying for Live.

And it's likely out of Microsoft's hand as for "pushing for a demo" as odds are high that Sony paid for an exclusive timeframe on it to try to sell more of their console based on the demo alone. And there will be saps who would do it, too.

That said, we'll end up getting a demo at some point in time. I would be surprised if we didn't.

Everything posted is hyperbole to the max.

I've had no problems playing PSN every night.

I have a 360, but I got tired of the 54 percent fail rate, ads in the marketplace, and 13 year old fan base calling my racist names.

I moved onto the system for intelligent adults.

After all I wouldn't buy a car with that level of fail rate.

You need to stop spewing your favoritism everywhere. This has nothing to do with which console's better. There are perks to buying Live, that's the point that was being made.

This isn't to say I support the others in this conversation - it's just that I've seen you do it more often. You even have a thread about how happy you were we didn't have the demo... which was fine, but then you turn around and have to have your hand in the discussion here without the ability to withhold your favoritism.

Both systems have that problem, and games have a mute function, The only time I use my headset is on my PC when I play competitive games.

Also, what do you mean system for "intelligent adults", there are just as many morons on PSN as on Xbox live, it just shows more since XBL is larger and the system comes with a headset, vs the PS3's optional BT headset.

Blame the dumb parents not the kids imo.

360 users online are actually a lot of kids and there are too many camping newbs on 360 the first time i played online with 360 i was accused of stealing kills and never heard the end of it

dude, Ray Charles can see that PSN is nothing compared to XBL, im not saying PSN is bad but its not the best. im going to tell you what i tell all the other PSN fanboys

XBL has proven time and time again its the better online experience, like the person before, he named EVERYTHING that makes XBL worth purchasing, everyone throws the " i dont pay for anything hahahaha sux to be you!" thats true but you also dont get as many exclusive DLC, you dont have an organized store, the Xbox Live Arcade its self has a huge library of downloadable games that wouldnt fit on a Sony Server alone, not to mention the fact that xbox has Zune, Last.fm, netflix that can be enjoyed with a group of people not just by yourself, the message system and voice communication system is amazing, it clearly is the BEST in online gaming, next to computer gaming of course. and if you cant dish out 10 bucks a month for premium gaming then you shouldnt be gaming at all, people , like myself, spend HUNDREDS of dollars not just on games, but gaming equipment, like

Trition head sets
messanger pads
HD screen capturing hardware ect.

this is gaming, your either the casual gamer who pays nothing and has a decent online experience, or you are a hardcore gamer who pays for top of the line equipment and premium service
dont slander xbox users has calling us unintelligent kids, there are stupid people no matter where you go, its not just on xbox, and if you think that only annoying kids play xbox then your NOT the intelligent adult you claim you are

oh god PLEASE dont even get me started on how bad ps3 users are at FPS games like Call of Duty. i actually had both systems, i gave my ps3 away and i have a xbox now, i recently played MW2 and black ops online *the first time i ever played it* for a few hours straight, and from my hours of playing, not just FPS but fighting games like tekken and SSF4, PS3 users are HORRIBLE! it was really laughable, when you manage to average around 30 -2 on PS3 and 15-8 on xbox almost every single time on call of duty, you realize that ps3 gamers are more casual, not to mention i was undefeated on tekken about 25 games in a row * even when i picked mokujin who is the ultimate YOU MAD BRO? character on that game* and i lost about 3 games out of 20 on SSF4. i can say, being experienced it and all, the ps3 users are horrible at games, now im not saying all of you are, because i have seen some of your videos on youtube with MK2, but majority of the ps3 users are not as good as Xbox players

Exactly. It seems so impossible for people to stay on topic. It's pretty frustrating for someone like myself who is mostly lurking/searching for info and find ourselves weeding through pages and pages of arguments that are completely irrelevant to the topic.

At this point, I would prefer to just wait it out than play a demo that I know is not final code. It's only 1 week. Although, admittedly, I did pop into K-mart today just in case they were selling early...

I agree with the last part, if there is no demo by tuesday, this thread will have ran its course and should be closed.

Demo should come out Tuesday... If not, I'm going to be butthurt like no other.

I WANT IT 2 but my STUPID BROTHER FORBIDS ME to TOUCH HIS PS3 after I bought it
we argued to see who will get the ps3 and xbox. i got xbox he got ps3 in which i regret of getting the xbox
but then again we get all the exclusive(if true) stuff

Once again, I doubt there's going to be a demo this week, they usually say something in advance, but who knows, I would loved to be proven incorrect :D
