"Tedora" is the rumored name that's flying around twitter and youtube, for the beast shown in the picture.
Some people have claimed to have been able to zoom into the picture, and see the name "Tedora," next to the beast.

I honestly think they edited that page to where you couldn't quite see what the thing was. There is NO reason whatsoever for THAT particular page to be open in the book. They should have just showed the cover, but no they chose the page with a picture of a beast SIMILAR to Motaro on it. Why? They want us to speculate. They want us to get hints that Motaro MAY very well make it into the game. Typical Mk shit. And they very well should put him in the game just for the sake of making up for the shit iteration of Motaro that was in Armageddon. He deserved better than that, and I have a strong feeling he'll receive the proper treatment come April.. All 4 legs will be kicking all of our asses.
 
Looks like a manticore for me. Yeah, it doesn't look like Motaro now.

Maybe this Teodora thing is really bullshit created by some idiots, but even if there's no "Teodora", this surely is not Motaro. But I still think he can be in the game. I always thought, or MK9 will have only Goro, or it will feature the 3 sub-bosses. It would be weird if they have 2 but no the 3. MOTARO STILL HAS SOME CHANCE, DON'T GIVE UP PEOPLE! Lol.

haha it does look a bit like a manticore. but in all honesty, I think NRS purposely chose that page and that IS motaro on it, they just edited it so it looks like it might not be. They wouldn't want us to know for sure. They want us to speculate. Why else would they have shown us the GODDAM PAGE!?
 
Hey, I've read somewhere that the actual name is TAIGORE, which reads like the spelling of TIGER....
Sounds half legit, half bullsh!t to me...

I was thinking this too.
Whether it's edited or a different created creature, THAT is NOT Motaro.
I'm just repeating what I saw on youtube / twitter, as this RUMORED creature's name.

I never said that Motaro shouldn't be in, on the contrary, I WANT him in MK 9.

After Hector tweeted saying "WHAT THE F*** IS A TEDORA," he said that his cat's name was TiaGore

i have an old game magazine somewhere if not trown away in the years. where they mention this pet as a posible subboss for mortal kombat 3! incl picture! no name what so ever
the looks have changed, but i'll search for it after my job interview today!

now going to bed :49 am now :)
 
Mystery solved, this pet of Kahn is laying next to him in the kratos video on the homepage.


The real question is why have the MK team shown us this ? :

-To make us realise or belive motaro is not in this game?
-Or to try and hint we can fight this beast?
-If we can fight this 4 legged beast , then surely motaro can / will be in the game?


If this beast is just a background monster, used in a stage fatality or something, then all of the above can be answered.

Yeah this thing is in the Kratos Vid the Arena looks well good too!!!

as for Motaro, I will say this "If you've got a favourite character for Mk1, 2 or 3 it's pretty much likley that he, she or IT are going to be in the game..." lol

Don't fret I cant wait too see that thing x-ray buckaroo my rib cage too s**t with it's hind legs and do you really think NRS would miss an opportunity like that.... Oh yes, they are having alot of fun with it
