Don't tell me you didn't see this coming. Considering SAW III is about as guaranteed a box office success as any film can be, you had to expect that we'd be getting down to discussing future installments sooner rather than later. Of course, when we actually see a sequel will depend on how much of a success the film is and if it matches or (more likely) tops the success of SAW II, you can bet your pasty white ass we'll be seeing SAW IV next October.

In fact, Tobin Bell's apparently been saying that he's signed on for both SAW IV and SAW V with the folks over at Bloody Disgusting revealing that there's already multiple writers working on story arcs for a fourth and possibly fifth installment. Considering how fast they're producing these films, if they keep this up, the question will be whether director Darren Bousman, Shawnee Smith and Tobin Bell will even make it to a fifth installment. For now, we can enjoy SAW III when it's released October 27th.

Thanks as usual to Jo Blo for the great update n shit

Yeah, but they have gone crazy with this movie franchise, man. If they go too far, we'll end up with shit like "SAW 8: Jigsaw Junior"

Yea it would be awsome if they made one every halloween. Then maybe in two years i can see it. Cause im only 16 still not unless i try to sneak in. lol

I buy them as they are released on DVD. Eventually, there will be a bigass DVD boxset. That's if they decide to make less than 50 sequels. I personally think that one every year is too many. But still mega-cool!

I once read somewhere ( i think it was either www.themovieblog.com or www.aintitcool.com) that they plan to make one every halloween until they can't think of any more ideas. Kind of like the Scary Movie franchise, they're just going to keep coming until it runs out of gas.
I really hope they dont do that. If they end it at Saw 5, and there is enough demand for another, then fine make it, but dont just keep making them, and leave it to shit at the end

I read in Entertainment Weekly a few months back that the creaters signed a deal to release 10 movies in the next ten year with at least 8 following the the Saw franchise.(3 now already released) so if that article was right well have a few more halloweens worth of fun ;) It said that with each movie they get more money(understandbly) so they can go more outrageous. I'll still go see them reguardless if they start to go downhill(which i dont think saw III will) I have high hopes and I'm sure they will be met.

Saw X (Jigsaw frozen and defrost on a spaceship and starting whole lot of new games) lol.
Seriously, nice that more saw movies are made. I just hope that each sequel will be original meaning different from each other.

If they do make a Saw movie every Halloween for the like next 5 years...prepare to see "Saw 13...IN SPACE". lol, kinda what MaxDam said.

lol...look at this fake poster I made for it...

I like the Saw franchise, but I don't know how they can do IV and V without it losing it's flavor.

Just a little update for you guys. I just bought the November issue (issue 181) of Wizard magazine (the comics mag). And in it they have a quasi-interview with some of the cast and crew of Saw 3. They ask one of the stars Shawnee Smith, who plays Amanda Jigsaw's apprentice, what she thinks about the possibility of Saw 4. She replies "I have no doubt it can go on as long as it chooses".

So, while an actors word is certainly no indication, it's definately evident that there's no word against the concept floating around. So i'd say it's safe to assume all previous rumors of upcoming sequels are true.

Nice update, FB. And thanks. I think they should just go with the flow. If and when they reach a point where the movie producers and actors feel that they've gotten to the point of no return. That is; finish the franchise on a good note. Not keep dragging out sequels just to make money, unless they can top each previous film a bit. Or make them more twisted. Another thing. Have any of the actors signed a contract to do X number of sequels? Not that anyone really lasts through more than one SAW movie. We could possibly see a SAW 8?!

And a deluxe DVD box with the 5 movies including a trap/game inside the box where you die for real unless you play by the rules lol.
