Possible XBOX Premium?

Hey guys, I was pretty bummed to hear xbox wasn't getting premium treatment for MKA, however, do you think these new renders of subzero/scorpion, shang tsung / liu kang will possibly be used for xbox premium packaging?

maybe it's just wishfult thinking, but they do look a lot like the ps2 premium packaging graphics.
 
I think they were made for the main menu screens. The sub/scorp screen was at E3 as a main menu screen. But the Goro/Johnny Cage box was also a main menu. Maybe they made a bunch and picked 3 from the batch they had to go on the PE PS2 covers? i dunno. But i doubt they will change their mind.
 
XBOX owners have to realize that they usually get the better games than PS2 and also the first chance to play them. They also have to realize that when a decision is final, IT FINAL! Stop acting like babies and be happy that you are getting a chance to play the game.

That's entirely subjective, but I know many people would argue that the opposite is true.

What "final decision" are you talking about exactly? All Midway said was that there were "no plans at the time" to make a premium version for the Xbox-- that's far from a final decision. They also once stated that there were "no plans at the time" to make a GameCube port of Deception, and we all know how that ended up. A final decision would be Midway saying "we're absolutely NOT doing a premium version for the Xbox because we hate Microsoft... and because you guys suck... P.S., screw you guys". If you ask me, Xbox owners have every right to ***** about PS2 owners getting preferential treatment, just as GameCube owners do about not getting the game at all.

Pwnage. Deathcore to the rescue!

The desicion is NOT final that Xbox won't be getting a Premium Edition. Boon just said that they don't have for sure plans. The same was said about MK: D coming to Gamecube. Everyone was worried that they weren't going to get MK: D on thier console and all sorts of petitions went up about it and everyone was pissed at Midway. Us Xbox owners still have a chance.

Well XBOX owners got the better deal with the deception's PE's with 4 different choices. The only reason why that XBOX owners might not get the MK:Armageddon Collector's Edition is because you guys are getting a live acrade version UMK3.

meh dont get into a big arguement over this. Sure there were no plans to make it for xbox, maybe there still are no plans. The only people that know are Midway. But as of right now xbox isnt getting a PE edition.

You're right 7th number, this is stupid to argue over and to get banned. Sometime I feel that us PS2 owners always get the short-end the stick when it comes to games that get released for XBOX, Game-Cube.

Yes, we may have gotten more choices for the collectors editions for Deception, but you guys still had it available. Xbox owners probably won't get one period.

maybe the midway will change their minds in the near future.
 
I doubt the original XBOX will get a special edition of the game. With Microsoft transitioning to XBOX 360 and UMK3 hitting their online market soon and XBOX sales falling as less and less titles are being released for it, I can understand them not putting the money forth to create a special edition for a console on it's way to retirement for a niche market.

If they could prepare one and leave it as a special order from the manufacturer ("X" amount of customers pre-order it and they produce that batch), that would be very interesting and possible. But I don't ever remember seeing a company do that.

I think PS2 owners would be in the same boat if the PS3 had launched within the same time frame as the XBOX 360.

You should care. There was a petition going around about getting MKA on the Wii before it was announced, which I think Midway already were going to do it. I signed the petition even though I'm not getting MKA for the Wii, but I know fellow MK fans want it.

Cinder just posted the info again on the PE's at the Midway boards. He said 'exlusively on the PS2', so I guess no PE for Xbox.

Oh belive me, i would choose a brand new MK game to that piece of crap, UMK3 was a bad game then and a bad game now.

I feel Midway have let me down by not releasing the FINAL xbox MK of this generation, i've been loyal to them for years but now it's over, i'm never getting hyped up on a MK game again.

Too each their own, I loved UMK3 and wouldn't mind getting my hands on an arcade cabinet of it. But I don't have the space or the cash to put towards that.

You might be mistaken, they are releasing MKA on XBOX. Just not a fancy packaged edition and since you don't care for UMK3, you probably wouldn't care to spend the extra $10 towards the PE. Right?

I think he's in the PAL region, and Midway decided to forego the release of MKA there.

As for UMK3... well yeah, to each their own. For the vast majority of fans, UMK3 is one of the best games in the series (and to some, THE best). I don't think the game's value as a fighting engine is even debatable in comparison to the games that were release after it (especially the console-specific games)

True, I didn't see anything regarding his location in his profile. Glad I didn't say he was outright wrong!

It does suck for those in the PAL regions, but that decision is reached by the Midway offices within that region though, correct? Not the MK team or the office here in America?

At the moment I'd settle for ANY edition of Mortal Kombat Armageddon on Xbox, which is more than I'm getting now...

Yeah it sucks that there will be no PAL Xbox MKA. I signed a petition going around to get MKA on PAl boxes even though I don't have one.

I'm sure Chief Thunder is happy because he's avoiding a good wh00pin by me;)
