April Fools: Today, our sources at
Midway revealed yet another new mini-game from
Mortal Kombat: Deception. The new mini-game is a dance simulation game, just like
Komani’s Dance Dance Revolution, where you have to score higher than your opponent by the end of a song or when the other player is dead. The
Mortal Kombat twist on the game is that you and your opponent both have your own life bars.
Characters have the ability to execute specific special moves to attack your opponent once a
"Special Move" meter is filled after getting so many steps of a combo executed correctly. The songs to be used in the game have not yet been fully decided yet; however, we expect to see some of the many already famous
Mortal Kombat Remixes by the
Immortals, along with some new music developed just for the game.
Finally, the game can be used with either just the controllers or they will allow the ability to switch to a DDR pad, which are available for both consoles already. We are currently working on getting an in-game photo of this, so keep an eye out for it.
