Machinima just posted the teaser trailer for the Mortal Kombat web series, which is now known as Mortal Kombat: Legacy. We don't want to spoil anything, so go ahead and watch the clip below and discuss in the comments..





Don't forget that next week on April 12th, Machinima will be unveiling the entire first episode of this new series.

Updated 11:35am CST: Appears that Machinima has pulled the video down and marked it as private. Hopefully it'll be back online soon, but trust us it looked AWESOME.

Updated 3:15pm CST: Thanks to @XanXic on Twitter for pointing out that guys over at Giant Bomb has the video up on their site for viewing as well. Looks like the embargo on this video has ended as the original YouTube embed is available again now.

I've been moderately interested until I saw this, the production value behind this project is staggering and I can't wait to see more.

I was very excited until i just saw this teaser. i have high hopes for it but this teaser didnt help at all. guns? come on.

I just hope each episode is longer than 15 min. That would be completely unsatisfying if that we so.

when i saw the first video before they actually made a project out of it i was really dissappointe. almost disgusted. then i saw the fanbase this was getting and decided i should give it a shot. was hoping with this preview i could find out if it was worth it or not but NOOOOOOO it's PWIIVATE -.-

Marketing is so fake. They intentionally post a video and then "take it down" in order to get people to distribute it around the net for them and generate buzz.

Pretty sure someone would have saved it. I don't think they would want to run into legal trouble though.

I acutally expected the action to look similar to whats going on especially putting Micheal Jai White in the picture. The main thing that is bothering me is sound. They clearly needed a little more time to polish it. I think that is what is messin up the overall effect at this point. Very cheezy sound effects which is kind of suprising considering the rebirth trailer sounded good.Still have hopes for it being good though. Just a small preview.

Well the video is up again, and I'll agree with the sound issues. The film looks really great though.

How did what I just saw have anything at all to do with Mortal Kombat? All I saw was a couple of guys in a fist fight and then a Mortal Kombat screen. Without that screen, the fighting could have been absolutely anything.

LOL what did I just watch?? they are in what looks like some type of factory that HAPPENS to have a rack of guns on it where that guy grabbed some type of grenade launcher? if you didn't tell me that was MK i would have guessed CSI or something.....wow

It's to early to make some judgement, still experience had told me that live action projects never end well. Cool fight by the way, hope this gets interesting in the future. -WolfScythe.

Its actually not a bad fight scene if you watch it without sound lol but I agree, for a preview it doesn't distinguish itself as a mk series at all despite I know they're not showing blood and gore on purpose. Still staying optimistic although I think some episodes will be good and others will suck.

This is gonna suck...Look at the other Mk movies, The first was Ok and the second was horrible, Until they make a MK movie that is BOTH rated r and follows the actual story, There just going to suck, Guns in an Mk fight scene? And It's Jax fighting Scorpion if you didn't know, Yeah, That's the new Scorpion...

looked to me more like a secret agent movie ^^ you know after they ruined the whole bond series with adding Daniel Craig they decided to totally destroy it with adding some black dude . Fatality... damn that sounded funnier in my head before i started writing

Actually, thats Kano. IMO, not enough was shown for me to make judgement yet. The fight was ok. I'll still look forward to the first ep.

the web series is rated R, IGN had some photos of a ripped out spine :D honestly, just have Black Dynamite rip someone's arms off and i'll be good
