Gamespot is currently holding a Best Villain contest this week. Today is the final day to vote for Shao Kahn vs General RAAM from Gears of War. As I write this Shao Kahn is behind by a mere 50 votes! So he needs everyone's help to move on to the "Evil Eight" round tomorrow. Did you already vote? Well using your cell phone for a 2nd vote, every vote counts and helps the cause!

Why should you vote for Kahn over RAAM? Our friend Darque Bishop from Mortal Kombat Online said it best:

* Shao Kahn conquered entire realms and survived past his initial game.
* RAAM died in his first game failing to conquer anyone.

* With Kahn, you risk losing your soul to him.

voted I think some 4chan folk were trying to offset the results. That's where I first got wind of this poll.

4chan joined in to troll Final Fantasy fans by knocking out Sephiroth in the first round with RAAM (completely destroying my bracket). Now they are just pushing RAAM through. I'm hoping Shao Kahn wins.

Screw it. We all know who would have won without all the cheating. I voted once for the guy that has a game franchise built around him and not just one boss battle and then going down. Just sad that the Gears fanboys can't play fair and we may not to see who Kahn would have crushed next. I don't think Gears fans had anything to do with it. I think 4chan saw saw an opportunity to disrupt the outcome to torment MK fan(boys). And to me, Vader shouldn't even be in such a poll seeing how he originated from a movie.

You are probably right and it is just missed placed anger but I still don't think RAAM even belongs in the poll. He is only in one game. And it doesn't matter form of media it is Vader is just the ultimate villain in most peoples eyes and I don't see him loosing. There is nothing wrong with being a fanboy and Vader is like the Fanboy God.

From my understanding the reason why RAAM won was because some girl or guy with photoshop skills decided that if the nice guys would vote RAAM she would show her boobies. It's a shame though would have love to have seen Kahn win

Is a shame, RAAM, is only another generic spaace monster boss. Anyway, hope Ed unleash the picture anyway.

I'm banking on it being Jade. It looks like a female ninja costume, and back in the day all of the pallet-swap costumes were red before the recolour.

Most of those options make no sense whatsoever. Logically, it would have to be Jade, Sindel or Sheeva with a new costume. Then again, it may be the first released alternate costume (assuming it were to be released).

I've seen several threads on 4chan where people were wanting to push the results toward Raam. They did it specifically to combat "fanboyism" withing Kommunity. The really stupid thing is that fanboyism is the entire basis for polls like this. There's just not as many Raam fans as there are Khan fans. Gamespot is hardly a bastion of fairness, anyhow. They're the same company that canned a reviewer for giving Kane and Lynch a 6 when Eidos had bought ad space that covered the entirety of the Gamespot website.

Someone on Boon's twitter commented on the teaser pic with an excellent point. What if the picture was of a random red female ninja with a new character tattooed on her arm?

Who ever this is, it isn't Sheeva. Sheeva's skin is way too different look like a human leg. Plus, I doubt the female Shokan will even wear such sexy boots.

There is some people doesn't know Shao khan not even Mortal Kombat, so they so who the scariest and the beast, so they decided to chose RAAM even if they didn't knew him, he look like the more brutal beast than Khan, i was hoping Khan stads in the final match with Ares from god war.

Actually, SKARLET makes sense. She was supposed to be a red palette swap of Mileena, around the MK II era.
