11:49 AM CST -
The past few days more evidence of the upcoming Mortal Kombat HD Arcade Kollection has surfaced. First the major UK Retailer Game has listed the game for pre-order. Game doesn't offer many details beyond a release date of 11/2010 which is similar to the previous European leaks.

Yesterday we got our first US retailer leak. A reader, Lucas, reached out to let us know that US retail distributor Ingram Entertainment now has the game listed for pre-booking. Pre-booking is basically what a store does to place advance orders for their customers. Here's a screenshot of the game's listing in the system:

What is not pictured is the release date of November 17th in the system. Oddly enough that is a Wednesday not a Tuesday. Also as with with the other leaks there is no indication of a Xbox 360 version of this game. We think it's likely going to be released as a Sony PlayStation 3 HD Collections title. We don't expect it to be 100% exclusive to the PlayStation 3, but rather we'd bet that that a lack of Xbox 360 leaks point towards it being a timed exclusive where the game eventually gets released for the Xbox 360 after a period of time. We don't think they'd exclude all potential Xbox 360 customers, especially after having lost the ability to purchase Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 on Xbox Live Arcade.

With the unconfirmed release date being only two months away, we bet an official announcement is not far off.

That is simply our guess since we have seen no mention of a Xbox 360 release via these leaks, we have no solid information on what consoles it's going to.

We can only hope that it will come out for the xbox at the same time. Thanks for the news regardless. **claps**

I actually hope it doesn't come out in November. From what you guys have posted before about this "Kollection" it would seem to me the games would be just thrown together if they truly have only just started on it If the WB is going to re-create the arcade games in HD I want them to take the time and do it RIGHT! I remember SSF II Turbo HD Remix taking a lot longer than just a few months to create and that was only one game, not three. *Crosses fingers and hopes for the best*

Even in Low Definition, this Arcade Kollection is GREAT news !! It will be a pleasure to, at least, fight online UMK3 with my PS3... And this good'old MK1 too !! It's a very sweet way to wait until april 2011, for MK9 ! Even if it's not in HD !!!!!

No disc based 360 release, they will be released on XBLA. *EDUCATED GUESS*

You missed the key word "ARCADE" This collection will be MK1, MK2 and UMK3 re-cast and re-filmed in modern full High Defnition.

My guess is they are just re-skinning the original games. That shouldn't take too long, in terms of development.

I thought so too. I figured that even the PS3 disc itself would be PAL region only, since some PSN releases like Wipeout etc. saw disc releases there. But now with this, perhaps a dual release like GT5 Prologue.

I hope it comes out on the 360. It's cool it's coming out at all but if it is for PS3 only I'll be upset.

any idea when we'll maybe get an announcement?

In terms of making a profit as business move, PS3 only would be stupid. 360 versions sell more of just about every fighting game thats on both systems.

That's gonna be a huge download and it will completely suck if there's no X360 release. Perhaps they're still working on the licensing? Could be since all of Midway's games were pulled from XBLA.

Why not have MK4 in there, as well? All I've seen is people saying they want MK 1, 2, and UMK3. Why not MK4? I don't think there's a perfect version of it out there, and MAME can't run it at full speed, yet.

I doubt that it will be a PS3 exclusive, but I tell you what, I would be seriously upset if it was. Also, on the MK4 comment, it would be cool if they did that one too (love me some spine-rippin' Sub-Zero), but I think its probably the first three.

Not if they sell the games separately. SSFII HDR was 255MB and the XBL cap now is 3GB so there is plenty of room. Don't forget that the old games are relatively simple, even if they're HD or not. I think the licensing issue is irrelevant here because WB owns the IP now, and they're responsible for all releases. This will see a 360 release no doubt so I wouldn't worry about it.
It's a US centric franchise so it HAS to be on the dominant system in the country. And what you said about sales is true in the US too, but globally, it's varies. MK V DC and SCIV sold better on the 360, while T6 and SFIV/SSFIV did better on the PS3. Alas, MK is as American as apple pie.

There's a lot of things you don't seem to see. Not understanding the enormous difference between the old 2D games and MK9 being one, and not recognizing when you're about to make a pointless reply is another.

Haha. I guess that was a lil harsh. I've been seeing a lot of spammy posts lately, so that had been building up, and as a member of an MK forum, ya gotta expect to get slapped and bloodied from time to time.

"Double Helix Games is working on an exciting unannounced Warner Bros. Interactive title" http://www.doublehelixgames.com/news/display_news/?page=141 What could that possibly be?) P.S. Though it could be Green Lantern: Rise of the manhunters, because there website news are totally not up-to-date.
