Your anual PC and console game consumption

How much are you willing/able to spend on video games each year? Do you pay full price, buy used, or wait for a price drop?

This year, I spent less than $200, since there are not many games that interest at the moment. But it usually it falls in the $200-300 range. I usually buy used games that have been released long enough for the price to drop, though I will usually make one or two exceptions.

I buy games on steam and I also buy hats and keys for Team Fortress... Plus I gave up Call of Duty so that is +60 in my bank account.

With gaming and console cycles, needing to upgrade a video card or buying a new mouse or controller because I throw it at the floor, I would say I spend a good $1000 give or take.

<$100 for me.

I'll usually have 1 "must have" game (which is Dishonored this year) on my list for that year (which I pre-order = $60) and maybe a couple used games that I haven't played, for $15 to $20 each, that I'll pick up on a good deal.

$200 is 4 new games?

Yeah, $200 for new 4 games is a reasonable estimate, since not all games start at $60. If it weren't for the fact I got the limited edition of Blazblue Continuum Shift Extend, I would have been paying $40.

Well over $500
Fortunately, that was pretty much my entire wishlist. There are no other games that I look forward to now other than Fallout 4 & MK10.

I used to buy games more frequently, but it got to the point where I was collecting more games than I was playing. Too many past games I missed out on, while new games just add to the pile. I don't think I ever exceeded $500 though.

Spending less and less each year since I'm more picky about what I buy.

I used to buy games more frequently, but it got to the point where I was collecting more games than I was playing.

I've hit that point.
It's a little depressing. I have so many games, so many objectives and missions and playthroughs to do that I usually do none of them and just play the same sandbox/no objective/just bullshit around games that I've been playing for years.
