Not too long ago I posted a thread about a new epic movie called "300". I think it got one reply which is sad really. Finally they have released a scoop trailer. I highly recommend watching this amazing teaser to Frank Millers next graphic novel to big screen movie adaptation! Oh, and if anyone is like who the hell is Frank Miller? Then go and watch Sin City if you haven't already.

The word EPIC does not do this movie justice!

Did you watch that teaser trailer, dude? if so, then yes,it sounds like a plan, man. But just one thing, You will have to supply at least half a dozen nice single American women. Why 6? Because those Yankee girls love us Aussies. Some girls from Rio would be nice :mrgreen:

And I just won't be able to stuff that women many into my luggage for the trip over, anyways. You supply the female company and I''l pay for the Booze!. K? K.

Nope. But I do block alot of contacts on all of my Chat Clients, dude. You have most probably noticed that I am rarely online these days, especially on MSN? There's a reason for that. I'm sick and tired of talking to people who don't give a shit, except for the very few individuals that deserve attention. My real friends and yourself included. Pretty soon, I am going to follow, DCR's example, and not even go online to chat ever again. It's gotten to that stage. It took a few years, but yeah, that's about the jist of it, man. Out of all the hundreds of contacts that I bothered to add to my lists and talk to, only a mere handful actually do me the decency by chatting. It's no wonder that my friend, Kryptonite has left the Net more than a few times. And now his banning just tops it off. And to those few people that I do respect for doing as much, by messaging me I am sorry. There is always the PM system here and at TMT.

Seeing as this topic has strayed way off, I will try and save it by saying that "300" had completed filming many weeks ago. Why wait so long to release the damn thing?
 
Post Production takes a good deal of time. They have to scrub every shot and recolor it. Go back and redo some sound. Add a lot of digital effects and any rotoscoping type effects etc. Then you have to splice it together, put it together in another order, then reassemble it back to it's original plan. Finally you show it to a few select pilot audiences who say they would rather see something else, so you go back and edit that and hope you don't have to refilm a part. It's a major PITA, which is one reason I didn't pursue my childhood dream of working in movies. Digital Effects to be specific.
 
Yeah, I know all of that, dude. But hey, thanks for reminding me. I am just impatient when it comes to such movies. I have an insatiable lust for ancient epics and movies based on Mythology. That's why I am dreading the God of War movie. I rather they not make the movie, than make it and screw it up bigtime. You were into Digital Effects? I was inot Stop Motion Animation. Ever hear of the name Ray Harryhausen? WAS is into special makeup effects. You two should talk some dirt on the industry, maybe? Make a movie thread, I dunno. Just throwing some ideas around.
