Will the new MK movie stay true to the game? Or will it be Anillhilation
all over again with the underwhelming plot and almost completly fictional
dipiction of the actual mortal kombat story? I would like to believe that they would stay more true to the game by letting the actual story that in the game take more of a place in the movie, including the fatalities. While I realize that they are trying to appeal to the youth as well as adults, the stories in both appear to be almost a watered down disney spectical compared to the actual story that appears in mortal kombat games.
The movies almost try to seem like a high school othello play rather then a gritty realistic(when i say realistic, i mean in the with the story is portraited in the games.)movie about the outworld's invasion of earth.
In Annilhillation, they tried to input both MKII and 3 into the same movie
almost like they were trying to make a movie version of
Mortal Kombat:Trilogy, and ended up with a huge piece of S##t.
They better take their time and try to create a movie where it can still be
some-what kid friendly while keeping its focus on Bringing this classic franchise to Life, the right way. Hopefully some of you agreed with me, but for those who don't; go rent Mortal Kombat Annihillation and watch the first 35 minutes and tell me that its doesn't need to change. I know it wont be nominated for oscars, but damn it can at least be a worthy nomination for the MTV awards!! Please let this be a good movie, please?
