I watched MKA the other day and thought it was good except for the whole Shinok thing, so I was wondering why everbody says it's awful and if anybody but me likes it a little

I can't stand this movie, the sudden change of characters, the HORRIBLE fighting scenes. I mean come on, why would raiden cut his hair? To look like a stud? I think not, it was just another "directors great invention!". The movie was just terrible, if it wasn't for the title I wouldn't have known it was MK.

The guy who played him properly didn't like Raiden's wig.

I know in Batman and Robin, actor dislike for a custom was the reason why Robin was notablly way out costume wise. Lets face it, the guy who plays Robin in the movies isn't exactly fit to play Robin... When you look at him body wise.

So Raiden's hair is properly something like that, since they changed the hair they decided to change the outfit to match it. Anyway, the guy didn't look good as Raiden in the first place. Change of outfit was the worst thing they could have done. Since the new look they gave Raiden looked like it was inspired by Fujin's MK4 outfit mostly.

I'm just adding on a bit, they skipped some MAJOR points in the storyline.

Such as:

MK1 was the first tournament.

By ressurecting Sindel they completly skipped the MK2 storyline, now what the fuck is that about ?

Scorpion And Sub-Zero's Rivalry hardly took place except the mediocre fight scene with kang and kitana.

They just could have done a lot better.. :/

it was ok but i also hated the way raiden cut his hair it just wasnt him and i didnt really get most of the storyline to that movie

True, this film was laughable, but that's part of its charm. A lot like Killer Klowns from Outer Space. Many people thought it was one of the dumbest concepts out there, but there's no denying how many people actually liked it for that reason.

Mortal Kombat-Annihilation was not as good as the original by any means, but it's still got its merits.

The film was complete and utter pish because

1) The storyline had nothing to do with MK at all (Raiden Shao Kahns brother? What were they smoking!)

2) Noob saibot came out of Ermac! What the hell was that about?

3) The sonya and Mileena fight was really bad, worst fight i have ever had the mis-fortune to witness.

4) Johnny cage dies.....He could have suffered more

5) Shinook was it it. He was Shao Kahn and Raidens father.......was he in the games

6) The Animality scene was poor.....they could've worked harder on it.

7)Where was Kung Lao? He was the one who beat Shao Kahn.

*stands up and claps*

Amen, amen to that.

Like I said, they skipped a huge point in MK history. :x

Actualy Kung Lao was the one who helped Liu Kang beat Shao Kahn(thought he died didn't)
Jhony CCage does die in the game
Shinok was in the fouth game but he wasn Rayden's or Shao Kahn's father

How do we know. It might be true, they just haven't SAID it yet. They may be holding off actually admitted all these characters are one big family until they want to use that plot point. If they are, well Raiden just went on a evil spree, the next game might see it annouced.

It was in the rolling credits. Shinook is there. Also Liu kang DID help Kung Lao but he wasnt even in the film at all.

I meant how do we know the relationship exists in the games.

Oh never mind.

I'm not really with it today anyway.

I remember that I ran out of the theater with shame that anyone I know might seeing me coming out of this utter crap movie.
I must admit that I never laugh that hard AT a movie. It was just so plain dumb, stupid, pointless and the fight scenes were just plain bad. The best part of the movie was the ending credits.

Another stupid thing that wasn't mentioned is the ghetto talk from Jax in the movie. Jax is suppose to be from the Special forces. I expeted him to "intelligent" at least. He was just clueless.

Nobody noticed Motaro's shoes? rotflol

The relationship exsists because Raiden says "Shao Kahn is my brother" when Sonya asks about the tatoo he had on his arm.
I think you fail to understand what I was trying to say. I'm not feeling well right now as I make these posts and I apologise if I'm not making sense therefore.

I was trying to say, was that it may exist in the games (I know it exists in the movie!) but they just haven't said it yet.

I never saw it in the cinemas, I saw it on TV. And I recorded it. And now the tape I recorded it on is naff. T_T
