why do people do the same moves everytime? Cheap players?

ok lets try this again i posted this in the wrong spot last time.


i hear a lot of people crying about cheap players nothing fires me up more than people who choose lets say sub-zero and do the clone followed by the freeze and thats all they do until they hit you once and then try to run until time runs out but hey its in the game. Just deal with it. every player in the game is cheap in one way or another they all have special moves. i played a kid who was raiden and all he did was teleport and shock every time. sure i was mad when i lost but he didnt beat me after that when i figured out a counter to it. people also cry if you do the same combos. when i use kabal or scorpion i only use 2 different combos for each of them. why do a 20% damage combo when you can do one thats causes over 30% damage

ALL CHARACTERS IN THE GAME ARE CHEAP.... BELEED DAT

i havent really incountered that in my brief online experience. I usually try to pic alot of different characters and not do their special moves all the time. I did however incounter such a fool in fight night for PS2. He kept doing that special punch, over and over and over and he wouldnt do anything else. he beat me, but that was the last time i played him.
 
Basically a person would use the same moves over and over due to the fact that they have not figure out very much with that character... Myself i tend to choose a vast amount of characters when i play, doing so will keep me fresh so i don't get burnt out on one fighter.

The RIGHT TRIGGER is your friend!! ;) Then follow with a counter-combo or special.
 
This isnt anything new to MK. My roommate and I (in 2002) ran into 3 clanners in a Counterstrike server that had a nice little camping setup in Italy. They'd guard the hostages and snipe us any way we'd come in.

After about 4 rounds of this we started using bangs and smoke to confuse them. They lose 2 rounds and call us cheaters and leave the server entirely.

Gotta love the trolls online.
 
I've played alot of games on Xbox live and I have to say there are quite a bit of "cheap" players.

By cheap I mean all they do the entire match is duck, sweap, and throw. Or if they are Kenshi, Jade, or Raiden they will teleport and throw you. Yes of course you can figure it out, but at that point you are near losing. And if you do manage to pull it off they will disconnect on you as you do your fatality. I'm tired of playing these sorts of people, it really makes the game not enjoyable.

If someone is using combos and special moves to beat me, more power to them. That takes atleast some skill and can be easily countered. Teleport throwing and constant sweeping is just obscenely fustrating due to it being either unblockable or nearly unblockable.

I think they dropped the ball on making throws do 18% damage. It should have been no higher than half that since its unblockable unless you duck.

With that said, I am not completely anti-throw. If someone throws me or sweeps me because I've been blocking all their combos, then thats a smart move. But the other is just taking advantage of the system. Personally I am one who does high damage combos consistently and depending on the character they will be the same combo or similar combo. I dont see the cheapness in that if its the character's best combo. I had one kid disconnect on me because I kept doing a 34% combo with scorpion the same because all he did was duck and the axe kick counters it.
 
Just think of cheap players as part of training... if they routinely use the same strategy... find a way to counter it. Like what the guy above said about CS. Every game you play online you'll find a group of people who repetitiously do the same thing... whether it be camping in a FPS or using same moves in a fighting game. Just re-strategize and you'll come out on top...

wow!that doesn't solve the problem..not all moves can be blocked and I've seen people use the unblockable moves as their main strategy.I tend to actually block allot but I also mix my moves up durring the match..I don't do some bullshit that's impossible to get out of..infact I actually lost a match that I could have won in a heartbeat because I refused to be cheap and knock the guy off the cliff after the flying raiden move.I let him go and ended up where he should have been less than a minute before..I guess it was kinda stupid to give somebody a break though but oh well.he had a little over a hundred wins and I had about 20 with 30 losses cause of cheap players and disconnects from assholes.he had alot less loses than wins though..probably cause he had about 20 or so disconnects :x .
 
I've been trying to master new characters... to keep me fresh. I get tired of the same old ones, so i try to get a mix of players i'm kinda good with. :D
