Oi here.

Got a network adapter, headset, should be ready to go. PRobably will go out and buy a keyboard if I see lobby chat exists.

Man, this royally blows. Most of the people I wanted to play online are getting the game for the PS2! Damn.

Well No DUH! Why pay more $$$ when you already shell out enough for your broadband connection? I have tried XBOX live and personally found it to be worse then the ps2 online method. Look for NeverGuest online to play me. Ps2 version here BTW.

I guess you're right. I guess I'll have to shell out some more cash to get the adapter and game for PS2 later on. Still, damn.

I'm personally buying it for the PS2, and will definately be partaking in my share of online fatalities. As for PS:O being better than XBox Live though, sorry to say, Microsoft has the upper hand.

Main reason why is because they develop net code with game developers, rather than making the company soley responsible for all the code, servers, and game formating, etc.

That's why it costs money, it's a little more stable, and has the ability to upload fixes to the user that the playstation sadly misses out on.

All in all, PS:O is fine, and nothing wrong with it at all. But I've had a lot worse luck with stable games PS2 vs Xbox.

Hardly a flame, just being informative :)

I'm getting a network adaptet tuesday. My question is - how do we fight a specific person? I've never gotten into online gaming. Will there be a list of usernames to choose from?

What you do once you set up there will be a lobby. Go into it and go into a chat and challenge someone. Atleast that's how it is on EA games. Never played any Midway online games.

Apparently, the Ps2 version will work on Gamespy (HAHA!), so it'll be pretty much the same as you would with any other game using Gamespy.
