It really isn't that hard to figure out it is completely different. And so what I mixed the names.... LMAO.
Anyway It isn't so hard to tell the difference.
MKW I don't remember had a sprite of Rain in that stance. Maybe MKT/MKOT had that exact pose. But not MKonline/MK WH. (I was just there) (If it is there just show me it please I've got a funny idea usage for it)
Anyway, as I said though most of it you can tell is different.
Sure in the fake Rain may have not upper-cutted the opponent, but at least he had some differences. Sure the finishing pose is the same, as are the characters. Doesn't mean it is any less original. Trust me if you think I made that you're wrong. I'm just defending someone who may have not even meant to make his fake into an imitation.
Now how do I know what is going on? Think about it.
Smoke has his feet in the air saying he was:
-Sent into the air ^ like this. Not > to the side like that. Due to how Rain teleported.
-I can tell he teleported leaving the illusion of two Rains which you can sort of tell.
-I stated he might be doing the body explode fatality.
-He is from MK:T's pose the teleporting image of Rain. The UMK3 does NOT look like that. Close but not close enough. WTF is with Rain from UMK3 anyway?
-Stage differences make me thing that it could have been different.
So that is how I'm guessing how it happened.
Also so what if Raiden is the Thunder God?
There are other characters capable of thunder fatalities. Smoke, Cyrax, Sektor, Raiden, Kabal (his mask I'm sure could be used for something like that), Rain, Kano. They could also have it look like a stage fatality since it only said fatality, I'm sure any kind was in.

The first part was just a joke, plus the thing again is way off from the flash.
Check closely. You'll see many differences.
Plus sometimes ideas are repeated on accident, like a fake made by kold_as_ice which was used before. He didn't mean to but it was already made. Giving it a chance it may be original from the creator's view.

its obvious the creator just saw that ani, thought he'd make a fake, and he used the only sprites he could find at mkw. think about it. it makes sense.
That is called answering a question I already knew.
The second part: Who knows? MK as in MK Warehouse? Again see before how I didn't see it there :? MAME is a more likely source.
Jeesh either way until the person who made it explains we can't be sure on anything. And thus far they haven't said anything on my guess as to what is exactly happening in my deduction.
