Unblockable AI? (chapter 5 storymode spoiler)

I'm getting so frustrated . I'm playing story mode on hard. I'm only on the match with Liu Kang against Scorpion and Quan Chi. It's bad enough that they spam their teleports the entire match, but their constantly hitting me while I'm crouch blocking. Not to mention being pulled out of the air by the spear DURING a dragon kick. How is this possible?
 
Some attacks will hit you while crouch blocking, but not if you're standing and blocking. Not sure if this is what you're describing or not. Liu Kang really doesn't seem very good to me in this game. Try using combos and projectiles, that's pretty much how I ended up beating them.
 
Spam them with nothing but block kicks. When they block quick use an uppercut. Be sure to jump quickly when they block the uppercut. Boring way to win. But it worked for me.

Looks like you answered your own question.

One easy way I found when beating them is to use pop-ups and chain them into combos and mix it up with some projectiles.
 
Thanks. I also want to know how to do scorpions teleport were he disappears and reappears on the same side of the screen. BS.
 
scorpions teleport on the same side happens occasionnaly near walls because sometimes he isnt able to appear behind u when you are wallhugging
 
It literally took me 10+ retrys to beat this one. I focused on forcing either of them into a corner and blasting away with normal punches and kick combos. The key to all of the tough matches is paying attention to the X-Rays. Make sure you get yours off without being blocked and pay attention to their X-Ray meter. When it gets full, 90% of the time they use it within 10 seconds. Have that block ready.

i spent about an hour on this fight...i figured out an EASY way...easier way...to beat it...

scorp and quan play against you COMPLETELY different.

against scorpion, do mostly block, and counter with uppercuts, as you've been doing, but against quanchi, just ATTACK HIM AGGRESSIVELY! he will just do his teleport stomp on ur head if you crouch block...
