Tired of it yet?

Well i beat konquest twice, beat the game with each character, played motor kombat, and messed around in KAF.

Konquest was good but nothing as great as i thought deceptions was. I played that for at least a month before i got bored. Got to year 100 in that game. Armageddons was a punch kick run down the road meh fest. Took about 5-6 hours and well that was that.

Arcade mode....well i beat it with everyone and even though i had it on novice, it wasnt as fun as i would have hoped. I had a hard time dealing with the fighting mechanics. Sometimes i would press up to evade a characters punch and my fighter wouldnt even move. Sometimes id even do a special move and they just stand there. I dunno if its a glitch or what, but it became frustrating at times. Once in a while it felt like my character just wasnt responding to my moves fast enough, if at all. Then when you try to get away from the enemy and jump backwards you are still in range to get hit, which made it annoying aswell. Sometimes i just felt like i was too close to them and there was nothing i could do to stop them. Even pressing block, sometimes it would take a while for them to actually block, like they made me wait for the opponent to finish his combo, even if i was holding for a breaker. Yeah most of the time it was good, but once in a while it just became annoying.

Motor kombat is fun, but only 5 tracks..... it kinda got old fast.

Kreate a fighter....well i made another post on this too. There just isnt enough to get my creative juices flowing. There is just not enough stuff in there that makes me want to create someone. I bet half of the fighters people make are going to look almost like old fighters, or characters we already seen in other games, movies, or shows. But anyway, hopefully ill get back into it and make something happen. The lack of movesets really is dissapointing...i dont really want to bother with setting each move.

Anyway, i think at least my copy of MKA is going to be hitting the shelf sooner then later. At least till someone finds that code that unlocks the ? block....unless it unlocks something that isnt worth putting the game in the ps2 for. I really have no desire to play it tomorrow.

:( sorry to make the game sound dull, maybe i just played it way too fast and got bored of it. I dunno, maybe its because im really tired? lol Its a good game, maybe i was just way over hyped about it, and all of its modes.

I agree entirely. I just feel as if this game was rushed into production, to vindicate the masses.

Konquest was alright, but did not validate my views. I don't understand how it actually got worse.. I had high hopes here, considering Deceptions quest was amazingly deep, and filled with side missions, and the free roaming factor. As you stated.. I beat Konquest this time in about six hours as well.. I never was fully intrigued. The storyline was great, but very repetitive, and short. Not to mention, there was no real challenge, just battles with main characters and such. I believe I played Deceptions Konquest for a month or longer as well.. I just loved the fact that you could roam anywhere, whenever you wanted. It's just a shame, that this time 'round, things seemed rushed, and too straightforward.

Arcade mode? Ah, it's alright as well. Once again, I was very disappointed. The character models look very dated, and the move selection is very limited as well. Now don't get me wrong.. I understand, that 60 + fill the lineup.. But still... I find myself, not wanting to step into it again.. I beat the game with Reptile, and I could not believe how the endings were set.. Just a fixed background, and text? I mean come on now..

Motor Kombat? I could do without. Once again, seemed rushed put together at the last minute to peak interest. Nothing too major or groundbrekaing here.

Kreate A Fighter? Looks promising, maybe in the future things will get better. I just found myself going through the motions.

Anyhow overall, the package is decent, but will be finding its way to the back very shortly. I may get back into Deception again. Shoot, I played that game for month's straight without boredom playing a factor. Oh, and yeah. The Krypt sucks badly. I liked the guessing idea, hit or miss. Now with everything labeled, it takes away from this much needed aspect of the game.

I've played this game for a grand total of approximately 2 hours [way too long]. And I'm bored with it already. This game was so hyped up, that now it's not much more than a deflated tyre to me. Motor Kombat? Didn't even try it. What for? KAF, fun but far too limited and shallow for my liking. I did make a chick in KAF and when I tried to assign her war chant, it said "you can't type that", fair enough. As for the fatalities, i've been saying this for the last 6 months. Boring and more boring. Konquest, I heard it was fun, but too short. Arcade, nothing really mind blowing. Blaze is a whimp. I'm not going to grovvel and dribble incomprehensible mutterings and say I love MKA when I obviously don't. Granted, I don't hate it, but at the same time, I'm not that impressed. And just because I haven't played and completed everything the game has to offer, doesn't mean jackshit really. First impressions count. And when I first played MKA, I was like....meh. ;-)

That's why I didn't even bought the game. I got bored with MKDA & deception after a month of playing. Deep down I know it will be the same with this one.
Let's hope that they start fresh again for the PS3/X360/Wii.

I kinda have to agree. The Konquest mode is very much amped up - almost a little too much. But call me weird, I enjoyed the training missions as each fighter from Deception. It gave me a chance to feel up the other fighters to know their strengths and weaknesses. Not to mention at least knowing HOW TO FIGHT WITH THEM instead on constantly pulling up the "move list" menu.

You guys think that there's the possibility that there may still be special moves hidden in the game somewhere? For ex; Cyrax Plasma Net?

yeah there was no mystery in the krypt to what was there, and the thing that really hurt it was that you could unlock everything if you got the 60 items in konquest which wasnt hard at all. What were they thinking?

you are all retarded.
you're not supposed to play it for that long! you all have no lives whatsoever.
play it a little and then go do something!!
if your goal is to beat the game quickly your GOING to get bored quickly.
I havent even beaten konquest yet. I think its really fun and i can sit here and play as long as a want. I'm not going to sit there for 6 hours playing a VIDEO GAME while your mom is probably making you brownies and feeding them to you while your playing even though your 17 and still living with your parents.
get over it

OK, If you're 17 and live with your parents thats ok. I"m 14, so it doesn't have an effect on me, I just had to defend you fellaz.

No one has played it as much as you, 7th. You did it too quick.

I only looked into Konquest for a few minutes before I turned it off, I wanted to save it for the weekend. From those few minutes I did think it was gonna suck compared to the MKD one. I don't like how it doesn't teach you how to fight either. MKD konquest was better.

I never got into MKD because my PS2 broke and I didn't get to play that much. But I played Konquest for 2 days and beat it cuz it was hawt.

MKA has some bad points and good points.

Good Point: lots of fighters and air kombat.

Bad: Motor Kombat sucks and I can't get passed 2nd place >=(

It is obvious that people from Michigan think EXACTLY alike. Touche' on all fronts, my man.

I just picked up the game this morning and I spent about 45 minutes cycling through a few characters in arcade mode just to get a feel for things. I do miss the three move-set chain style combos, that is without question. But, it is an understandable sacrifice to be made with a roster as deep as MKA has given.

I haven't taken a look at anything else yet in the game, such as the krypt or konquest, but I am sure I wont be overly disappointed. Motor Kombat I'm betting I could do without. I really enjoyed Chess Kombat in MKD, but what's the point of brining back the same mini-game twice? There is none, heck with it, let the little kiddies drive the go-karts around for a while if it stops them from *****ing and moaning that they're bored after only 65 straight hours of gameplay. My intentions are to play sporatically and savor the game like fine wine.

Actually out of all my fights i can only remember me actually fighting in the air once.

And dont hate Motor Kombat because its hard...lol I really like it, it just sucks that there are only 5 tracks.

Most people don't move out untill thier atleast 19 or so. I agree with everything you said untill that part.

the magic wasn't there on this one.

the only thing it has goin for it is "every mk character is playable"

other than that, i'm sort of bored with it, i'm going to force myself to beat it with as many characters as possible. just to get my money out of it

maybe i'll get into motor kombat as well....

eh, i could be wrong though, it took me awhile to finally get into gta vice city too

How could they leave out classic levels like Pit, pit2, dead pool, living forest, and have all those useless konquest levels in there? Half of them dont have any weapons, death traps, or go into another section of that level.

I can't get in the air kombat too much either cuz I can't figure out the pop-ups. I only know 1 of Scorpion, and 1 of Kung Lao.

The popups are pretty much universal. Just find each and every character's specific popup move. Alot of them are the same for each player.

I see.

I tried a lot of combinations for Kung Lao's weapon stance pop-up, but I couldn't find it. I could only get his martial arts pop-up.
