The power of Shinnok and the other Elder Gods.

How powerful do you think Shinnok was compared to other deities and fighters before and after his fall from grace? And how do you think the other Elder Gods compared? Do you think Shinnok will make an impression comparable to Shao Kahn?

I think Shinnok was the strongest of all the Elder gods before his fall, If I remember right, it took Raiden along with the help of the other Elder gods to beat him the first time. Don't think Raiden was an Elder god then, perhaps a very powerful protector-god for lack of better words. One think I like about Shinnok is how incredibly deceptive and manipulative he is, if one closely looks into the lore, it was Shinnok who actually orchestrated the downfall of Edenia. I feel he is a much more imposing threat compared to Shao Khan due to this very reason along with his new powers he mastered at the Netherealm.

Also the first thing Shinnok did in the original timeline after getting out of the Netherealm was attack the eternal palace of the Elder gods, which shows that he is almost equally powerful as he once was.

Shinnok caused the death of the saurians in Earthrealm and it took Raiden and the Elder Gods together to stop that BA. I think him being playable in MK4 and MKA ultimately hurt the way he's viewed by most fans. I know that seeing him in MKM gave me goosebumps. He's so powerful, yet he's never actually been made into a character pleasant to play. Sad. I think overall the guy has had a larger effect on the MK universe, and in really small but grand ways... most of it is rooted from what happens in MKM. I read somewhere before that once a villain is made playable in a game, he loses some of that which makes him so scary and interesting. I would like to see him be super powerful and difficult in the next MK.

I agree, he was pretty great in MKM and when he was "defeated" by Bi-Han, he wasn't /really/ defeated, and it was kind of like Shao Kahn in MK9. You really had no choice but to run your ass off after he transformed; but even during the fight with his human form, it was all mostly dodging and landing cheap shops from teleporting just to steal his amulet. The only reason Shao Kahn and pre-MKM Shinnok was defeated was by being outsmarted by Raiden and overpowered by Heaven itself. Something similar should happen with Shinnok; I'll be irritated if he's tossed aside by Quan Chi like nothing again, but that seems to be what they're heading toward again with Quan Chi's MK9 arcade ending and such.

I agree entirely man. Quan Chi has been given the role that I honestly think Shinnok deserves.
