The be all and end all of the life sucking infinite amount of 'klassic kostume' threads, that are literally consuming the internet.

Currently at the moment, there is only ONE legitimate way of getting the Klassic Kostumes. By pre-ordering the game and getting the codes. They are not unlockable in game (as of yet/legitimately).

There are ways to get the klassic kostumes unlocked on modded machines via editing the ini file etc, but this is not legit.

Hopefully this puts lay to some of the growing threads that are outrageously trying to figure out how to unlock them in game.

The reason for the pre-order treats were just for timed exclusiveness, so we can all feel a little special for a moment of time, until *everyone* has every single character's klassic costume in the future.

Maybe they'll be released via a patch, or via DLC, no indication, but clearly, they are not legitimately attainable at the moment.

It'll be a good idea to get photos of all the classic costumes, and then put it in the first post then sticky this. That way they'll be fewer new threads about this bloody thing.

Let me see if I can find the link again, the problem with all of this as I explained in detail to another fellow MK'er, is that there are so many god forsaken threads/forums/discussions polluting the internet about mindless theories on how to get the Klassic Costumes. ie, people are still going on about Challenge 300 giving you them, when we all damn well know it doesn't, it gives you Mileena's 3rd alternate costume (which really isn't much of a costume ^_^). Even more so, 'If we beat all of the klassic kharacter hidden fights, we'll get em'. And again, we truly know they don't.

The end result is, searching for a definitive answer is like looking for a needle in a haystack, thats the best I can find on the internet, and from my experience (had the game 4 days before it was really released), I have gone UP and down, amongst numerous other folks on this site, No one has unlocked (legitimately), and everyone is still wrapping their heads over this. This thread is merely to cast light on a different subject, which makes total sense, they aren't unlock-able, plain and simple. They will either be DLC or Patch to allow any character (that has a klassic) to be used. I really see the DLC way though, what company doesn't want to make some coin?

Noob said Alternate costumes are available in the krypt and unlock-able. Not Klassics. Just simply makes sense.

I hope they'll be available as individual DLC. I already have Scorpion's and I'm working on obtaining Kitana, Mileena, and Jade's-- Then I will be content with waiting for the others for a little while.

I just hope that, after getting those 4, I won't have to pay the full price for a DLC pack to obtain others (Ermac, Sub-Zero, and Reptile/potentially Smoke and Noob, if they are offered).

As with most Costume packs, you can get them in Packs or individually, at least these ones will have the others not avail for Pre-order, ie, Smoke, Noob.
 
I have Mileena, Jade and have the code for a Kitana but can't redeem it cuz PS3 is down >_< I want to get all the Retro costumes so I really hope that they become available to us soon :)

Im pretty sure that if they realese em as DLC they will be free, Boon said that they we wont have to pay for in disc content.
