Quan Chi and Shang Tsung did die in the blast, sorry to say. I read the MK story on Game FAQ's website. The whole three of them died.

Dude, if you read the MK story, it will tell you that Quan Chi and Shang Tsung both die, along with Raiden. The MK story. The official one. It's not just on Game FAQ's site, it's also on various other sites, too. And if you read one of Liu Kang's bios, he says that when Shang Tsung died in Raiden's blast, his soul was released or something like that.

Believe it or not, they are both dead.
 
May I also point out the MK offical story is suppose to be written as though shujinko was the writer. What did Shujinko know? That Raiden blew himself up along with the DA. If one of them ran away and never showed up afterwards, he wouldn't know he was alive. shujinko would have presumed anyway he was dead.

Plus the MK team loves messing with us and Q-Chi is one of their fav. charaters.

Well, there is hard evidence that Shang Tsung definitely died, because Liu Kang confirms this in his bio.
 
I can't wait till the next game and quan chi is in it...
Untill then, why don't you prove he is dead. give us direct links to liu's bio that says he is dead. Show us some evidence if you really want people on your side.
 
Yep. Liu's bio says definately that Shang at least is dead. No word on Q-Chi. I presum since Liu is the only one who knows what truly happened though, he will be on a quest to free Raiden from the anger that consumes him or something... Or at least find answers.

Yeah I agree, I'm sick of people dying and coming back. Make up your mind already!

It's definite that Quan Chi and Shang Tsung will return, no doubt in my mind about that.
 
i still believe that quan chi has a much better chance at coming back. All my reasons have already been mentioned here, like the 'teleporting' thing in dception intro, and how it says only that Tsung is deffinitely dead. THere is alot unknown about Chi, I would like to see some REAL backround. All i'm hearing is he escaped this, and... stole this, and... resurectd that... Let's get some actual stuff about him, besides some of the evil stuff he does. Like, what is he? A clown? He looks like a clown.
 
I think the system of no one really dieing, but instead comeing back in a few games exists so that people don't get pissed at midway for killing off their favorite characters. And if you look, Quan Chi isn't even there when raidens blast finally goes off, so he didn't die.
