tag team ladder question

tag team ladder is pretty much the same thing as just normal ladder but with tag teams right? if so are the tag teams random or fixed? i would love them to be random

i know in the normal ladder mode you randomly fight about 7 characters but in tag team ladder are the teams randomised? for example if its random than you could fight kano 2 times, one his tag team partner is kabal and the next one his tag team partner is sheeva
 
no... like u said, its like single player ladder... you wouldnt verse kano twice in a single player ladder would you? but the teams are mixed, its not like liu kang and kung lao, or sub zero and scorpion... sometimes it pairs jax with sheeva, sometimes it pairs jax with kano...

thank you yes you did, i actually ment in 2 diffrent ladder tournaments but i guess that was poor wording/communication on my part so thank you for answering my question, im very glad the tag teams are mixed up and not always the same
 
sorry to bump this thread but i got another question about the tag team ladder, i was playing as kano and nightwolf on tag team ladder and i killed kahn with kano and got kano's ending, is this the same ending i would find if i played kano in single ladder mode? and if so then in single ladder mode then why would i do single ladder when if i do tag team ladder instead i fight kahn with 2 people instead of one?

In tag team you get the ending of the first character you chose, and it is the same ending as single ladder. As for myself, i generally prefer single player ladder than tag ladder (i only really do the ladders as a warmup before going online) because the fights are shorter, i can beat khan with just one person, never needed two.
 
oh ok thank you that is really suprising because kahn is extremely hard in storymode for me, but i beat him quite easily in the ladder mode

and thank you for telling me about the endings cause that confused me i assumed it was like MVC3 and you get the ending of the character you used to kill the boss
 
I only palyed tag team ladder once, I always play one player normal ladder, and i have some endings to unlock of characters i really dont like to play, so if i play tag team do i unlock the ending of both characters?
 
I have a question, (although I don't know if I should ask this in the Achievements section), do you still get the "Arcade Champion" achievement by mixing the single player and tag-team ladders?

For instance, I've beaten the single player ladder with 20 out of 27 characters (Xbox 360, so no Kratos) but I did unlock Cyrax's ending by beating the tag-team ladder with Sektor to get the "Robots Rule" achievement, however, I am yet to try and beat the single player ladder with Cyrax.

Will that count or will I have to actually beat the ladder with Cyrax?
 
sorry i dont know the answer to either of those questions im just glad you can do this because that means that if i suck with a character i just play through their story with a tag team partner i am good with so its much easier

I'm not sure, but I think only the first character you select gets their story unlocked. What you could try to do is first select the character you don't like, then choose the one you actually want to fight with, and at the beginning of each match, tag out. In theory anyway, that would unlock the fighter you don't like, while you've been using the one you do. Not 100% on that, but I think it might work.

Honestly, I don't know. But I would guess that they need to be solo, or at least the first fighter selected if not. Of course, being 20 in, you could just do the other six non-Cyrax fighters and see. If you get the achievement, then yes, tag counts. If you don't, then clearly they don't, or at least not for the second fighter. If that's the case, after doing Cyrax, it still doesn't pop, then that would mean they do in fact need to be solo.

Yes, if you play tag-team, you will unlock the endings of BOTH fighters. Beat everyone on the ladder BEFORE Khan, and then change your fighters to two new players... That way, you can get the endings of all characters faster.

*TIP* - Go into options, and set the number of rounds to "1". Do this ONLY if you want to beat the game TWICE as fast!
