Sub Zero's Ice Clone Special Move Gimped in final version?

If you all have played the demo you would know that Sub Zero's Ice Clone special move is borderline ridiculous. It creates a wall that you can not pass by no matter what for a few seconds. Jumping over it is useless because its so clunking that it'll still get you most of the time too. There is a way to run into it and block at the perfect moment to nullify it but the timing is pretty unforgiving.

Is it possible that this new Ice Counter has replaced Sub's Ice Clone for balance reasons? They both basically do the same thing. It's just that the Ice Counter doesn't create a ridiculous wall afterward. I realize the vid isn't too new. But could it still be possible? Or do you think the Ice Clone being in the demo guarantees it being in the final cut? I honestly think that it will but meh, who knows.

They should have thee ice clone only last about 3 seconds and if you hit SZ with a projectile it should immediately shatter the ice clone. Or if you use ice clone you can't use any other ice moves. Those would have made the move more balanced.
 
That video is old. I've seen that a long time ago. The ice counter was around before the ice clone. I just dont know which one NRS is going to put in the final version. I hope its the clone, it's WAY more fun.
 
Well it'd be nice if they did nerf his clone move just a tad or maybe kept both in the final version and you could use them in different ways but i'm sure they kept only his clone move since it's one of his more classic/popular moves.

In the demo you can't use clone after the opponent is frozen
 
sounds kinda cool to me (no pun intended) i think it will fit well with him seeing as he is one of the slower characters. plus when compared to a fast character such as scorpion or cage it will give a sub-zero user time to calculate the next attack rather than just get punched silly. until this video i forgot about nightwolf. he looks to be one mean character ( once again, no pun etc.) sub-zero was the first mk dude i ever used and i think he is shaping up to be pretty well rounded. i think he is the ryu type character where as scorpion would be more like ken. speed wise and nothing else. he looks to be more of a defensive character where as scorpion is more offense.
 
I think it's the opposite: they started with the Ice Counter and then replaced it with the Ice Clone.

Now, I hope they fixed it in the final version to make it last less; I'd prefer to have the Ice Counter and the Ice Clone as its Enhanced version.
 
Or they should have the ice counter in the game, but the EX version freezes them and sub back dashes out of the ice and freezes the opponent so you are able to combo after you counter them with the freeze
 
I personally think the Ice Clone should stay in instead of the old Ice Counter. Even though the Ice Clone is "wall'tastic" it's not possible to create an ice clone if Sub Zero is right in the opponent's face. Alot of characters in the game rely on pressuring their opponents, if Sub Zero had a counter move he could just throw out everytime someone is about to pressure him, he would DESTROY characters like Johnny Cage, Sonya, and Kano.
