Okay.
A few weeks leading up to release, when the demo hit, the Stage Fatality input distance said "Varies". This hasn't changed. In the move lists, Stage Fatality distance still says "Varies". So what's up?
I can only go off what I've seen from Ed's tweets, and from discussions on TRMK. We all know that both of those examples are unreliable...Ed likes to troll and TRMK users pull stuff out of their ass half the time and try to say it came from NRS. However, one thing I can say was consistently mentioned in months leading up to release was that some stages would have more than one fatality. Obviously, the PS3 Exclusive Kratos stage has 3 different fatalities associated with it, but that has nothing to do with distance.
Has anyone tried finding alternate stage fatalities by putting more distance between you and the intended victim? By doing stage fatals from behind? By doing simple uppercuts? I've been trying, and I have yet to find anything new or different. The only "Variation" I can find on any stage fatality is that, based on where you are when you do the fatality on The Pit, the victim will land in a different part of the pit with alternate details (more bodies, less bodies, no bodies).
Furthermore, it was also a consensus that the Bell Tower, The Armory, The Wasteland, The Pit Bottom and Goro's Lair may also contain stage fatalities. I've even seen a few posts here the last few days from people wondering why so many of the arenas do not have stage fatalities when it was conveyed, in one form or another, by NRS that some of those arenas would have Stage Fatalities as well.
What do you think? Are the Bell Tower and etc. hidden? Do they have to be unlocked? Will they wind up being DLC? And how about the "alternate" stage fatalities for those that already exist? I've been trying but have come up with nothing. The Living Forest rumor, which started almost 20 years ago finally came to reality. I would have expected the hooks in the Dead Pool to do the same.
So, I don't know. I'll try it every now and then (static 2-player mode) and see if I can come up with anything. As far as we know, we're still looking for Brutalities too, so you never know.
