Stage Fatalities - Variations and Positioning

Okay.

A few weeks leading up to release, when the demo hit, the Stage Fatality input distance said "Varies". This hasn't changed. In the move lists, Stage Fatality distance still says "Varies". So what's up?

I can only go off what I've seen from Ed's tweets, and from discussions on TRMK. We all know that both of those examples are unreliable...Ed likes to troll and TRMK users pull stuff out of their ass half the time and try to say it came from NRS. However, one thing I can say was consistently mentioned in months leading up to release was that some stages would have more than one fatality. Obviously, the PS3 Exclusive Kratos stage has 3 different fatalities associated with it, but that has nothing to do with distance.

Has anyone tried finding alternate stage fatalities by putting more distance between you and the intended victim? By doing stage fatals from behind? By doing simple uppercuts? I've been trying, and I have yet to find anything new or different. The only "Variation" I can find on any stage fatality is that, based on where you are when you do the fatality on The Pit, the victim will land in a different part of the pit with alternate details (more bodies, less bodies, no bodies).

Furthermore, it was also a consensus that the Bell Tower, The Armory, The Wasteland, The Pit Bottom and Goro's Lair may also contain stage fatalities. I've even seen a few posts here the last few days from people wondering why so many of the arenas do not have stage fatalities when it was conveyed, in one form or another, by NRS that some of those arenas would have Stage Fatalities as well.

What do you think? Are the Bell Tower and etc. hidden? Do they have to be unlocked? Will they wind up being DLC? And how about the "alternate" stage fatalities for those that already exist? I've been trying but have come up with nothing. The Living Forest rumor, which started almost 20 years ago finally came to reality. I would have expected the hooks in the Dead Pool to do the same.

So, I don't know. I'll try it every now and then (static 2-player mode) and see if I can come up with anything. As far as we know, we're still looking for Brutalities too, so you never know.

also, been wondering the same thing. LoL

What stages have fatality inputs at this point?

The only ones I have seen are the ones they have hinted in some gameplay vids. Did not know Kratos stage had a stage fatality. Need to try it out.

As of right now the only stages with fatalities listed with the red skull on the arena select screen are

Subway
Dead Pool
The Pit
The Pit Daytime
Living Forest
The Street
Hell

All of these are triggered by being right next to your opponent and inputting the button sequence for stage fatality. If that were the case then why does "Varies". Varies implies that you need to stand at a certain spot in the arena to activate it

Ed Boon also pretty much confirmed that some stages would have multiple fatalities on twitter

I dont know about 360..but on the kratos stage you can kill the enemy 3 dif ways with the stage fatality...its fuggin awesome lol

I noticed a slight variation in the Hell level. One time I dipped Sub-Zero's head in the lava and it was a close up (exactly like the one in the Kombat Kontinues trailer) and another time I dipped Sektors head and the camera angle was completely different. It wasn't a close up at all and the camera was further back, on a diagonal almost.

Not sure if this had to do with where the stage fatality was inputted but....Interesting nevertheless.

Well, since now, we see Babalities in Bosses being possible, without Finish Him on screen, but, using a mandatory condition, and people discovered how, it's possible that Ed and NRS put super secret stage fatalities, but, that not show off the red skull symbol that denotes a fatality stage ...... it's possible ..... you have 30 stages, and , only 7 "official" stages that allow "stage fatalities" ? It's suspicious ..... hum .....

I think when Ed, despite knowing about the leaks, and , later, give statement that there are secrets in the game to be discovered yet, maybe put these secrets stage fatalities, but, without none hint/clue/tip , none at all, in how make them ..... after all, it's a job for the players to do it, find out, discover it .....

I would not be surprised at all if there were other stage fatalities in there that are on unmarked stages and require different distancing than the standard "right next to opponent uppercut" style stage fatalities like yautjared is saying.

I could see some stages having multiple Fatalities

Hell Stage - At the end of each stage there is that Skull Doorway but there is a shower of flames going through it. It would be cool if you could kick the opponent through the door and they get burnt up in the process

Dead Pool - You put your opponent on the hooks and they slowly get lowered in the acid bath

The Bridge - Knock them off the bridge into the water below. A boat comes by and takes their head off

I'd like to believe there is more stage fatalities than 7 but until we see one then that looks like all we got but I think that alternative dead pool fatality will be in because the developers mentioned that they wanted to make rumours true and this was an old rumour from the arcade days...

who knows maybe we will get an update patch and it will include fatality for Belltower, I hope the rooftop gets one also!
