Sorry I'm Still puking after seeing that disaster!
Crap I can't believe they did an even worse Star wars than episode I and II.
I have to see it in english before I say too much cause in french it sucked real F...ing hard, and maybe some lines wont be said so bad or not said at all.

Man that was shitty: a dialog between to Wookies, droid with sentiments, droids running for their lives screaming, Amidala nothing more than a pregnant woman, cool fights wasted by poor camera and lack of choreography a droid coughing up his lungs, bad sentimental scenes, no scenario compared to episode I and II. Hell I could go on for more lines like that.

Am I wrong?
I'm going to sleep and try not have a nightmare like I'm seeing that movie over and over again.
My last hope for Star wars is dead, they killed it with that crap.

So long cruel world...

i read an article last summer about grievous, he was supposed to be a narcissistic droid, one with an "atittude"... i have to say his part in the movie was disappointing at best. the wookie thing and the droids running for cover were about the only comic relief the film had though. in the past it was threepio and r2, and even jar jar(although i hated him entirely). so i feel those small aspects weren't too bad, or at least necessary.

the worst thing about this movie is that they had to cram too much storyline into one film, leaving very little room for character developement and dialogue in certain places.

on the whole however i must disagree with you. it is far superior to I and II and really not that bad of a flick. of course we all had high hopes for the star wars prequels, but i have come to accept the fact that there is nothing truly worth looking forward to these days. so that realization, coupled with the fact that in the back of my mind i always knew lucas could never surpass his original master pieces, softens the blow.

thus i am not fully disappointed, but not fully impressed. i liked it, and i look forward to getting the full collection on dvd, watching the whole saga at once for the first time. that's truly the day im waiting for.

i now regret camping out for 3 days, 1 would have been enough. although, i thought the movie explained alot and tied up many loose ends, it was quite a catastrophe on dialog among others disapointing aspects. the humor was decent, but it did not fit in well. I thought it was better than episode I and II though. i think they way over did yoda and the wookies. just as in their scenes and dialog. yoda's talk is annoying after long stints. and the wookies i thought as well were overdone.

i also dont like samuel Jackson he had a dumb roll in all I, II, III.

i still think darth maul was the best thing to come out of the 3 newest episodes.
okay.

sure as shit. they should have done way more with him. i mean why did he need to die? so they could have count jackass replace him? dookus part in the movie could easily have been taken by maul. it's not like dooku really does anything thats sensitive to character context.

I watched a program last night on Chanel 4 (I think) here in the UK.

They are planning a TV series now, based on the smaller characters who never had a big role in the movies. Its in 3D. They didn't give away too much (legal reason partly) so I can't say much about it.

Then again they did a cartoon based on the teddy bear things from no.6 and a cartoon based on the clone wars... So its nothing new them doing a TV series.

So anyway Star Wars won't be dying just yet.

I think the highlight of the night was, while waiting in line, my friend got into a fistfight with someone dressed up as Darth Maul. Man, DM got pwned! :D

Personly, I disagree with everyone pretty much.
I think That Episode III was the Highlight of the Year thus far, and Episode II and I were very good movies, dispite Jar Jar. I'd go even as far to say that i enjoy I II III better that IV V VI. And I personally think George Lucas should remake the original 3 movies. NOW BEFORE YOU GO HACKING INTO MY COMPUTER AND BLOWING IT UP FOR SAYING THAT!!!, I think that if they only changed the actors, the fight sceens (especially Vader Obi-Wan in IV) and the speical Effect, that the movies would be awsome. and they should also add a Vader Palpatine fight at the end of Epissode VI, instead of Vader just tossing Palpatine over a ledge. Now who could play the parts? Obviously keep the actors from I II III (Ewan McGregor, Ian McDirmid, Hayden Christensen, and everyone else.). For Luke i was thinkin Shawn Ashmore (Iceman, X2) Leia i was thinkin Keira Knightly (Elizabeth, Pirates of the Carribean) Han Solo i was think Tom Jane (Frank Castle, the Punisher) and for Yoda, who else? Danny DeVito.
lol just jokin on that last one. Can u think of anymore?

I personally wasn't blowing off the movie; it was great. Kal-El made some pretty good points that I never caught.

I just got back from the movie and it was decent, I didn't like the fact that wookies are not a big role, I would have liked more fighting on their part. buuuut I don't want to give anything away so I'll leave it at that. and yea Remakes would rock! one word: Jabba!

Here is my response, in order with your statements:

for the first comment... you are lucky i dont know where you live

second, maybe... i thought about that too, but i just don't know.

third, no. vader was injured and weak, exactly how do you expect him to defeat his master without catching him off gaurd, with one hand, no saber, and against a being who doesn't even need a saber to be lethal.

fourth, how do you expect them to make Ewan mcgregor look old enough to fit the part of a 50-60 year old kenobi?

fifth, iceman would make the worst luke i could imagine, same goes for keira and leia.

last, i do agree with your choice of tom jane. that might not be too bad.

Lois Anderson as Jabba?

I personally thought the movie was really good. Nice to see a Star Wars flick that could live up to the originals.

The only problems I have with it are, they cram too much action into the action shots lately. It gets confusing trying to follow it. And then Vader screaming Noooooooooooooooooo! was just a tad over the top. For dramatic effect I think that should have been a silent moment where he collapsed to a knee and all you heard was breathing with maybe some robotic sobbing.

Good points, the duel between Anakin and Dooku was marvelous, especially the 'disarming' part. The comedic parts actually were quite funny to me and not over done like the use of Jar-Jar in EP1. R2 seems to have picked up some speed, but thats all good. Order 66 should have been order 1138 however :( to keep with the other films. Did anyone catch an 1138 reference in this film?

Anyway, if you're a fan of the originals, I'd definately recommend this one, even for those that were turned off by EPs 1 & 2. If you're the type of person that despises Star Wars (FREAK!) then I don't have to bother telling you not to see it as you have an already biased opinion.

On a sadder note. I actually went with a few guys from work, one dressed up in an original Storm Trooper outfit and another was Darth Vader. Quite weird that they were the only ones dressed for the occasion I thought, but even weirder that I went with them lol

killkano, good call. vader screaming noooooo was a ballbreak and a half. such a movie cliche should not be permissable in star wars. i like your idea much better.

many people dressed up where i saw the flick, but most only wore jedi or sith robes with no make up, masks, or anything else. the funniest thing i saw was a really short mofo in an artoo costume. if i'd have been close enough to throw out my beer i might have mistaken him for a "pitch in" garbage can, lol.

Well, Iceman was my first idea, my second thought was Matt Dillon. And for Leia my second thought was Anna Paquin.

As for the new fight sceen, they would abviously make it so Vader didnt lose his hand or his sabre.

I know it wasn't as good as everyone had hoped, but it was still a satisfying experience. You guys already said that the dialog and character development wasn't as good as it could have been, but you must admit that atleast the action was great.

It was awesome, can't believe anyone could not like it!

Exactly. I loved every second of it :D

Edit: By the way, was I the only one that saw a similarity between Scorpion's MK4 ending and the (end of) Vader's assembly scene? 8)

Second Edit:

That really wouldn't be too hard. See Obi Wan here in Episode 1:

Now, compare that to Episode II:

Compare to Episode III:

Now that you've seen his evolution, would it really be too hard to change him into this?
