for those of you who read the leaked script. What do you think? did you rayden kill liu kang??? is he still alive?

I think Liu Kang is still alive, Rayden would never kill liu kang for this, i think he defeated him. When Liu kang says " you killed us all" he was probably referring to the merging of the worlds caused by rayden's action.

Although rayden has almost gone mad he would never kill someone. I think

What do you folks think ?

Well, considering that in the leaked endings

Spoiler:
Lui Kang becomes a god

I don't think he actually died.

I'm pretty sure Liu Kang is
Spoiler:
dead.

I think this because Raiden was desperate to get what he needed done to be done.

As far as the endings, as we all know they are not all canon, and
Spoiler:
neither Kang nor Tsung kill Shao Kahn, therefore, it is, in mine and others' opinions that these endings are NOT cannon

I believe the idea develops the darker side of raiden. How many times these events may have happened before his eyes? No one knows, the dejavu drove him nuts possibly.

This a bit off topic but since we are discussing about Liu kang i thought i could bring it up. Liu Kang uses the Jeet Kune Do or Jun Fan fighting style (conceptualized by Bruce Lee) which is heavily influenced by western martial arts such as kickboxing etc and not taught in the shaolin temples (Wu Shi academy in mk universe). But Liu kang's story trailer nor bio suggests he had travelled to the west to learn these techniques. What are ur thoughts??

back to the topic ,I personally think that he doesnt die and just rendered unconscious by raiden with a lightning blast or something like how strugler suggested.

I think it's just one of those MK inconsistencies. However, there aren't fighting styles anymore, at least with this game, and hopefully they won't bring fighting stances back, so this will no longer be an issue.

yea, thats true, but im sure i read somewhere that Liu had in indeed travelled to America and picked up these techniques. Probably it maybe one of those comics. Good that the stances arent returning.

Supposedly Raiden killed Lui for the greater good. As a matter of fact to my understanding the entire storyline is based on doing things differently to prevent armageddon. I don't think Raiden is darker this around he just has a different plan that's all.

man, seriously if they kill liu kang again, thats some shit storytelling, because he will be back again, so does kitana, kung lao and nightwlf.

what sux more, is none one single evil character dies.

since vogel took the helm, the stories have been repetitive, there all go like this: the heroes are winning yeaaah, oh wait, no they are not, they were deceived and they act like retarded children, oh half of them died, the end.

Liu kang dies in mk5, rayden regroup the heroes to fight the deadly alliance, everyone is killed, rayden almost wins, but onaga shows up, rayden kills himself and was reborn evil. all of this because shujinko is retarded enough to fooled and deceived by onaga.

Seriously, we do not need twists every single damn time, these are not twists anymore, these are messed up ideas.

Rayden killing the champion???? WTF seriously

"No. This was not meant to happen. Liu Kang, Forgive me...." this seems like something that would be said after you just killed someone, not knocked them out. I'm betting on he dies. I'm also betting on everyone staying dead this time around. As strugler said their story was getting repetitive and NRS knows it. I don't think they'll let that happen again. hopefully some old characters getting killed off will bring in some new ones. Like this elders gods maybe? they look down right bad ass. Future bosses maybe?

I'm am thinking along the same lines. I have a feeling when a character dies, storywise, they will stay dead. That way NRS can either develop the post MK4 characters or just make new ones.

Of course, they will most likely still have the dead characters as DLC for future games.

The dialogue seems to suggest he dies, but he'll most likely end up okay. Unless it shows him undoubtably dieing (Like exploding or something) I'm not saying we'll know in this game but his fate will surely be revealed eventually.

This is all assuming that this script is up to date and that the dialogue is in the order we accept right now (Which characters say what)
